Vehicle Detail

We are offering at auction a 1963 Plymouth Valiant sedan. We purchased this vehicle with a previous Mass.registration and notorized bill of sale which is the way we are selling it.The car was unused and stored inside for a number of years at the time of our purchase. We removed the original gas tank and replaced it with a new one to eliminate any contamination issues.A new Interstate battery was installed as well as new oil and oil filter. The only rust-through that was present on the car was a hole in the drivers floor caused by years of moisture entering through a hole in the original rubber floor covering and was held there by the padding. We had the rusted section cut out and a new galvanized precut floorpan welded in place(see underneath pics). We installed new period correct nylon loop carpets front and rear. The engine starts quickly with a working choke and runs very well with no smoke or unusual noises and a nice smooth idle. The clutch engages properly with no slip or chatter and the column shift linkage feels like that of a low mileage vehicle (no sloppiness)which leads us to believe the 44k is accurate although there's no way for us to verify that.We media blasted 4 of the 5 original wheels, metal etch primed them and painted them with a blue that's very close to the paint on the car,we then installed 4 new radial whitewalls. The car drives great with plenty of pep, steers straight and brakes well with no pulling. The only item needing mechanical attention is the exhaust which has some small holes in the pipe leading into the muffler(not very noisy)but if we were to continue driving the car we would replace the entire system as the car is worth it.Cosmetically the only issue is the headliner which was removed when we got the car(all the metal bows are present). The car has had a respray which we're assuming is at least 15 yrs old and has held up very well with a nice shine and only one notable touched up scratch on the right rear quarter panel as shown. All lights and guages except for gas work as well as the electric wipers. All glass including the windshield is in very good condition.Overall this is a great little car for very little money that can be used and enjoyed immediately. Please email or send a # with any questions or if possible make an appointment to inspect the car personally as long as it's done before the auction ends.We monitor our auctions closely and remove and block all zero and questionable feedback bidders.Thank you.
