1960 Sunbeam Alpine Series 1 Estimate over $30,000 invested so far. Almost finished and highly modified. $15,000 in paint and body work was dipped and blasted, all new Rob Martel sheet metal floors and undercoated Series 5 front suspension, all powder coated with urethane bushings, new splined hubs all around, Porsch brakes on front (911 disc's and Boxter 4 piston Brembo calipers), completely rebuilt rear end. Custom built wheels 15" Borrani style aluminum rims with 72 stainless steel spokes from Dayton with hex and three eared knockoffs. Series 5 Engine Engine is custom built and ballanced. Flywheel lightened, crank ground, custom aluminum H beam Pauter rods, Wiesco pistons. Head is ported, custom valve guides with real seals, hardened seats, Manley stainless steel valves, Isky cam, Isky springs and Isky push rods. TWM intake and 45 DCOE style throttle bodies, Electromotive TEC3 ignetion with crank fire ignition (no distributor). Griffin aluminum radiator and electric fans. Gas tank has been modified for AN supply and return with an internal baffel and sealed. Weldon fuel pump and TWM regulator with guage. Painless wireing harness with proper fuse block. Custom handmade dashboard, laminated with 1/8 thick real carbon fiber. Autometer guages and push to start button. Has Old Air products heat\AC unit installed in car (compressor was not installed yet). Door panels and back top cover also are carbon fiber. Seats are rebuilt with Mercedes Benz leather and seat heaters. Nakamichi stereo with Infinity speaker, Fosgate amp and a compact subwoofer. Have a brand new windshield in the box. Have almost all parts to finish car. Moving to a place where I have no storage so I must let this 20+ year project go.
