Each vehicle is road tested before being listed on eBay so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. My entire inventory is available to be seen in person by appointment only at my York, PA storage facility. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Please take the time to read this entire description carefully and review each photo in detail before bidding. I am not a mechanic but I take dozens of photos and include as much information as I can in an effort to represent each vehicle I sell as accurately as possible to the best of my ability. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very clean 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. The Jeep Grand Cherokee represents one of the best values on the used car market for an SUV. They are incredibly simple, reliable and economical to service. This well optioned example is no exception. I would rate the exterior condition of this Grand Cherokee to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for its age and miles. The Plum finish has a mile deep shine and looks good from any angle. I did not see any major damage or flaws in the finish of this Jeep. Please expect to find some signs of normal wear for a vehicle of this age. The front tires are a little thin and may need replaced depending on your states inspection laws. There is a small crack in the windshield which is about 8" long and goes from the bottom to the right side of the windshield at the lower right corner. Again, depending on your states inspection laws it may need replaced. Overall this is a good looking Jeep. I would also rate the interior condition of this Jeep as ABOVE AVERAGE for the age and miles. You will notice that this Jeep is pretty well optioned for a Laredo. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well throughout the interior. The leather seats are in great shape throughout and show very well. This Jeep also has heated front seats which is very unusual to find in a Laredo...and they work which is even more unusual. The power windows, locks, seats, sunroof and mirrors all work properly. The climate control system appears to be working as it should. The stereo is the original Infinity system which sounds good. The wood trim is still intact and looking good. The headliner is beginning to come loose at a few spots which is normal for an older Jeep. This one is in better shape than most. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running condition. The optional 5.2L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not appear to smoke. The V8 is a great option in the Grand Cherokee and it was one of the only SUV's of this size to offer V8 power. Rated at 225hp/300tq, this engine is no slouch either!. Power is abundantly available for towing or accelleration. The suspension on this Jeep is in better condition than most I see. You can feel a little wear in the front track bar bushing by some play in the wheel but it is minor. Everything else feels nice and tight. Braking is smooth and controlled. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. This Grand Cherokee is equipped with the Quadra-Trac full time 4WD system which is working as it should. Out on the road, this Jeep drives very nice. The engine keeps a nice, cool temperature and great oil pressure. It is easy to drive and cruises nicely on the highway. The rear end makes a little more noise than usual but it's not alarming...I would give it another year or so until it needs attention. Same goes for the front track bar...I would give it about a year until it needs attention (and it is under $200...half that if you can do it yourself). An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Buyer is responsible for their own taxes, tags and registration fees. 30 day transport tags are available through PennDOT to out of state buyers for $35.
