Vehicle Detail
Hi Folks: I feel compelled to pass on an email that I just got from the buyer of this car that backed out earlier this month. He said there you go Vicki misleading people again. I have, therefore, just added below that there are no hydraulics to the top & the tires have sun wear. To me it is obvious that the top does not work by just looking at the pictures and heck the tires look new to me but heck that's major to him. He forgot to tell me it was low on gasoline! 1948 Plymouth Convertible California Title All Original RunsNew Tires (I was told by the guy that backed out on my last sale that they have sun wear but they look new to me. I guess that's another issue he considers major)Lots of Extra Parts No MAJOR Parts Missing (Engine, Transmission, Fenders, Bumpers, Glass) Some things are missing. Such as if you lift up the back seat there are boards that hold up the Seat instead of Original Framework. If what is under the seat does not bother you then you'll have a very restorable car that you can perfect and drive it in the meantime. The top is missing a bow. If you can't find one, you can have one duplicated at a metal shop. The Deck Lid is easy to fix if you go to a GOOD body shop. There is rust out in two places. There is some rust spots on the rim of the deck lid and in the trunk. A GOOD body shop can fix that too. Obviously, Needs New Canvas Top (the hydraulics to the convertible top are missing) Please feel free to ask questions. Thank You On Dec-13-11 at 21:35:00 PST, seller added the following information: 12/13/11 Today we had some back hoe work done here and the driver backed into the Plymouth putting a dent in the deck lid. Not difficult to repair but it is there.
