Up for auction is a 1966 Chevy El Camino project truck. This project was started 20 years ago, but was put on the back burner. The bodywork was mostly completed when it was put into storage in an open ended shed, thus the light surface rust on some places and the slight cracking of some of the bodywork due to moisture. The frame is NOT original. Also, the engine (350 c.i.) and transmission (350 turbo trans) are NOT original either and have NOT been rebuilt. They are high-mileage and will need to be overhauled. The original engine and transmission are still in the old rusted out frame and will go with the truck to the auction winner. The frame under the truck has been sandblasted and painted. The bottom of the truck was sandblasted and painted. The inside of the cab has been mostly completed – painted Chrysler metallic red, new dash pad, custom stereo, in dash speaker, and new chrome on the dash. This truck needs some major work to be completed, but most of the hard work has been completed and will just need to be touched up. It is a great project to finish, but is not as simple as painting and installing parts. I have a lot of trim, but not all of the trim that is needed. I do have some new trim items, BUT I DO NOT have enough trim to complete the truck. Deposit is required 5 days after auction ends and the buyer is responsible for pick up.
