I am not a mechanic but I go out of my way to represent every vehicle I sell accurately and to the best of my ability. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. The Grand Cherokee is one of my favorite vehicles and, in my opinion, represents the best value available in a used SUV. I would rate the exterior condition of this Jeep to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. I apologize for the bad lighting...the weather was not cooperating with me. This is a great looking Jeep. As far as cosmetics go, this is one of the better looking Grand Cherokee's you're likely to find. The dark green paint has a mile deep shine and looks good from any angle. There are no major scratches, dents or scuffs on the exterior that I can think of. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The front tires are a little thin...backs are good. Overall, this is a great looking Jeep. If you're looking for an exceptionally clean Grand Cherokee, look no further. I would rate the interior condition of this Jeep as EXCELLENT, a rating I rarely give. As you open the drivers door, you will notice that the interior of this Jeep is just as nice as the outside. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets are extra clean throughout the vehicle. The headliner is clean and not sagging as most do over time. The dark cloth seats are in great condition and show no signs of wear. Additionally, this is a fairly well optioned Laredo. Both front seats are power operated which is found mostly on Limited models. The power windows, locks and mirrors all work properly. The dash and trim are all clean and well kept. The climate control system is working properly. The stereo is the original Premium sound with Infinity Gold speakers and CD which sounds good. The cargo area is clean and spacious. This Jeep comes with two sets of keys and two remotes to the factory remote entry system which is still working properly. Again, this is an uncommonly clean Jeep. Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running condition. The 4.0L inline six needs no introduction. It starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I did not see any leaks. During the time I've spent driving this Jeep, I have been very impressed. The engine keeps perfect temperature and holds excellent oil pressure. There were no warning lights on. The suspension is pretty tight for an older Jeep. There is a little play in the steering which would suggest the rubber bushings are starting to wear and explain the worn front tires. Front ends are easy and inexpensive to service in these trucks. It drives smoothly down the highway with no complaints. The brakes stop the truck well, too. This Jeep has the most desirable engine/trans combination available. The strait six is the clear engine choice over the V8 and the Selec-Trac is preferrable over the Quadra-Trac 4WD. The Selec-Trac allows you to drive in 2WD while offering choices between AWD, 4Hi and 4Lo depending on your driving situation. Quadra-Trac is full time 4WD which hurts fuel economy and binds up in tight corners which makes parking lots a nightmare. This Jeep has the Selec-Trac and the strait six which gives you the best possible set up. The 4WD is tested and working properly. Overall, this is one of the nicest older Grand Cherokees available.
