Each vehicle is thoroughly road tested before being listed on eBay so that I can give the most accurate description of how this vehicle looks, runs and drives as possible. We recommend that each potential bidder come see and drive a vehicle in person before bidding. Vehicles are shown by appointment only at my York, PA storage facility. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 1993 Ford Explorer 4x4. This Explorer is finished in a medium gray exterior over a light gray interior and is optioned with the XLT trim package. I would rate the exterior condition of this Explorer as ABOVE AVERAGE for the age and miles of the vehicle. While this truck is not cosmitically perfect, I feel that it has fared better than most Explorers have. The gray finish has a deep shine that looks good from any angle. Rust has always plagued the Ford Explorer and this one is no exception. There is visible rust in the usual places (rear rocker panels and rear fenders) as well as some very small rust spots near the gas filler door. Again, this Explorer is in much better physical condition than most. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. The factory alloy wheels are wrapped in good rubber. There is also a rear towing hitch, too. I would rate the interior of this Explorer as EXCELLENT. Just look at the photos!!! It's obvious that someone took great care of this truck. The door panels are clean and in tact. The carpets show almost new throughout the interior. The seats are in remarkable condition and also show extremely well. The headliner is clean and in tact. The dash is clean and free of any cracks. The climate control system is working properly and the air conditioning blows ice cold. The stereo system is the original Ford system which sounds great still. The original owners manuals are included along with three sets of keys. Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running condition. The 4.0L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any smoke or leaks coming from this vehicle. During my road test, this Explorer had excellent road manners. The suspension is nice and tight over any surface. The steering is light and responsive. The brakes stop the truck well. The engine keeps good oil pressure and a steady coolant temperature. There were no warning lights on. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. The push button 4WD system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, this Ford cruises easily with no shaking or pulling. The oil service sticker on the windshield is from a local Ford dealership so my guess is that this Explorer has probably been dealer maintained. I replaced the 4WD computer and had the auto hubs rebuilt in addition to new bushings underneath. This is a nice, tight, great running truck. Please bid with confidence.
