Each vehicle is thoroughly road tested before being listed on eBay so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. Vehicles are available to be seen and test driven by appointment only at my York, PA storage facility. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. However, I disclose everything I know about each vehicle I sell in an effort to accurately represent each vehicle and minimize your risk as a buyer. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a great looking Dodge Dakota 4x4. I would rate the exterior condition of this Dakota to be in AVERAGE condition for the age and miles of the vehicle. There is no major damage to the exterior of this vehicle. The buyer of this truck sould expect normal wear for a pickup truck including small scratches and dents around the bed from typical use. This Dakota is finished in a nice two tone paint which shines very well. The alloy wheels are in good condition and the tires have great tread all around. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. The chrome looks to be in good condition, too. Overall, this is a sharp looking truck. I would also rate the interior of this Dakota to be in AVERAGE condition for the age and miles of the truck. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets are clean, too. The seats show well and are very comfortable. The stereo is the factory original unit which sounds good. The climate control system appears to be in good working condition, too. The windows are tinted and this truck is equipped with the optional sliding rear window. There are some flaws in the tint but it doesn't look bad. This Dakota is equipped with the 3.9L Magnum V6. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I did not see any leaks to report. The engine does have a light tick but seems to run strong. It makes good power and accellerates easily. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. The 4WD engages at the turn of a knob and engages properly and quickly. Out on the road, this truck drives pretty well. There is a light to moderate vibration in the wheel at highway speeds. The suspension and steering are tight. The brakes seem fine. The engine keeps a good temperature and good oil pressure. There is a check engine light on for an EVAP system leak. This is a common code and should not be hard for a qualified shop with a smoke machine to diagnose. I can hear what sounds like a vacuum leak under the hood but I am not a mechanic. Overall, I think this is a good truck. You could drive it the way it is...or spend a few bucks at the shop to have the little things looked at. Either way, it is money well spent.
