1928 Buick Model 28-27 Standard Four Door Sedan Original. Very unique example of a depression era original American motor car. This Buick was manufactured in Flint, Michigan in 1928 and has an original Fisher body that is in excellent condition. It is the 114 1/2" wheel base version as that year Buick offered 3 different length of motor cars. This example is unrestored and I would assume there are not too many left that are as original as this one. The body is solid and straight and it does not have any bondo repairs or dents. It was repainted at some point using the original colors of dark green and black. There are some nicks and chips in the paint as seen in the photos. The original six cylinder (straight) valve in head engine runs good, but does have oil leaks. As far as I can tell it has not been rebuilt and retains most of its original parts. The fuel system is of the vacuum type that contains an original Stewart vacuum tank ( that has been rebuilt) and an original Marvel carburetor. The gas tank was removed recently to be cleaned and out and re-sealed. The transmission is a 3 speed manual type with a multiple disc clutch. It has 4 wheel band brakes and an emergency brake. I rebuilt the front brakes 2 years ago, installing new bands and seals. The wheels ( artillery wooden spoke ) are in good condition as is the tires, and tubes. The interior was redone at some point using period correct material and is in very good condition. The car is missing some door handles and window cranks but these are readily available at Bob's Automobilia. Please ask about possible delivery options.
