Vehicle Detail

I am the second owner of this Classic 1974 SAAB 99LE. The car is originally from California. I bought the car in Carson City, NV. Included with the Wisconsin clear title, I will send a copy of the original title. Before driving the car home to Wisconsin, I overhauled the engine to the tune of 2 pistons and connecting rods. Exhaust and intake valves on the same two pistons. All new rod and main bearings. New cam chain and tensor. Re-slugged all the valves to SAAB specifications. All new gaskets. New antifreeze. New water pump. Cleaned the fuel injectors. Drained and replaced the auto tranny fluid and filter. Checked rotors and brake pads. In other words, this car was given a total shake-down before the 2000 mile trip to Wisconsin. I had always planned to rebuild this SAAB with a 24 valve, double overhead cam, AC, TURBO engine with a five-speed stick transmission. Unfortunately, my SAAB customer's SAABs came before my 1974 SAAB "Orange Crate" Dream car. The 1974 SAAB has always been stored indoors. For the last 9 years it has been stored in an air-conditioned dehumidified environment. The SAAB is located a few miles off I 94 near Warrens, WI. I am located on the Western Slope of Colorado. So, that means the included pictures are all I have of the car. I can answer question about the car but these pictures are it as far as pictures are concerned. The only two area that are dented are the hood and the lower right hand (passenger) side door. That has a scrape probably from a parking lot incident before I bought the SAAB. The hood has dents that happened when a wood pile fell on the hood. The head liner is there but it lacks the decorative fabric. On the front seats, the fabric is tore from the plastic of the head protectors. Worst is the back of the driver's seat. The car has no battery. The gas tank is probably in need of a total flush and reconditioning. I know the mileage is over 70K but I don't remember how much. The car is an LE but it has four true running soccer-ball mags WITHOUT the center inserts and new tires. I am not sure if it has a spare tire, wrench or jack. If it has a spare it is a steel rim. The car has surface rust here and there, BUT NO RUST HOLES OR RUST BUBBLES. After reinstalling the engine and automatic tranny, the car's rear tail pipe rattled against the car's frame. I thought it was going to have to rattle all the way back to Wisconsin. But, thought I, "Maybe I can loosen the "C" clamp and give the two pipes a little twist so the pipe would clear the frame?" I grabbed a 13 mm wrench and wonder of wonders, the nuts on the "C" clamp loosen and a bigger wonder, the two pipes moved in the socket! Checked for clearance and re-tightened the two nuts. This car was totally rust free! It was for that reason, that I wanted to keep the car off the Wisconsin road and out of the Wisconsin weather. So, anyone wanting a project SAAB 99 2 door, here is the car for you! I am retired from rebuilding and repairing SAABs and I want this, my last SAAB, to go to someone that wants, "The last of the well built SAABs," for a project. The engine turns over but if this were a SAAB I was buying, I would haul it or drag it to its new home and then go through everything with a fine tooth comb, like I did when I brought the car. This Classic is sold as is and where it is. If you can't haul it, I will not find a hauler for you. The car will be paid for on the spot with cash preferred or check or postal money order. I keep the title until the check clears my bank. The title will be available to buyer paying with cash. Thank you for looking and hopefully bidding!
