1985 BMW 745I e23 BMW's first true supercar. Euro only. Never sold in U.S. All gauges and dash controls in German. Basicly same body as 735 but with beefed up motor and suspension, 4 piston brakes, spoilers etc.Also has real wood burl int., South African water buffalo interior, and backseat radio and front seat controls.Radio has been replaced with pioneer CD unit but rear controls are still there. Price was over 60k new this was the BMW flagship. Check internet or BMW history books to find out everything. This car was brought to U.S. as diplomat car and was federalized with side marker lights and cat converter. Bought car 6 years ago had motor rebuilt , turbo redone by Mr. Turbo in Dalas Tx. and a rebuild HP 22 non electric trans and converter installed. Also sent ECU to Bosch to have updated motronics installed. Car is very fast ,142 mph stock, and is a complete sleeper. has smooth powerband to 60 then accelerates like a locomotive to 140+. See U tube clips.Ran car for 500 miles then after replacing injectors with rebuilds units when started engine started to knock in one cylinder. Think rod cap came loose or spun bearing.Shut car of after 5 seconds placed in garage and just recently took the pan loose to fix. Pan would not clear crossmember and I do not have time to fix but do have 6 spare pistons rod and bearings. Also have many spare relays , parts, etc. Selling as is for now.
