Vehicle Detail
Pontiac GTO 242 Project Car, not lemans. Not matching numbers. 400ci. I The Bad: This vehicle has rust in floorboards and trunk, upper body is decent. There are many parts missing, but if they were there, chances are you would have replaced them anyway. The doors have pinholes in them. The quarters would need to be replaced on this car as easiest way back to decent car. The headliner is falling down. The transmission is missing but the bell housing appears to be there, I guess the clutch is inside. The shifter is missing, clutch pedal is there. I don’t know the condition of the motor, it might run. Would need carb to find out. I never tried it. The windshield is broken. Missing hood, trunk lid, valance panel rear bumper. The Good, I have the PHS for this car and it says it’s a 4 speed car with hideaways. Verdoro Green. Vinyl Top. The dash and wiring is intact. The dash panel is not cracked like most 68s. This is an idiot light car, and the glove box door is there. The dash pad is cracked. The rear glass is not shown in pics and was elsewhere during photoshooting, but it goes with car. All glass is there, except windshield is cracked. The front driver’s fender is rust free. This was a vinyl top car and the moldings go with the car, they are there, There was only surface rust below the vinyl top. The engine might run. Gas tank is there, taillights are there. bumper mounts in car. Power drum brakes. Non posi rearend original to car, works. On Jan-13-12 at 11:17:36 PST, seller added the following information: A lot of people have asked me about a title for this car. GA does not issue titles for a car this old. If you are in a state that does issue titles for cars, this old, such as California, your state will abide by the rules of this state when you are trying to register this car. It has a clear title from Tennessee and a bill of sale from that person. I can write an additional Bill of sale thereby providing complete paperwork for your state. I never registered the car here in GA, but even if I did, GA does not issue titles for this year car, so there would have been a non transferable registration in my name. This requires a bill of sale to transfer. I will issue a bill of sale. If the buyer finds it necessary, I will register this car here in GA before transfer to you, your option, the fees are very small, no tax till my birthday. This still WILL NOT result in a title as stated earlier, but would result in a registration, a pink slip, if you will. I can sign this pink slip along with a Bill of Sale, but it won't mean much to your state, they still need a bill of sale. Also, I would prefer this car be picked up or shipped by 2/28 as I am trying to close down the storage unit shown in pics. It can sit longer, say if someone is going to Spring Break and wants to pick it up on the way, but small fees would apply, like 3 dollars a day. Also I can be reached at 678-743-4511 most evenings till 1 am EST.
