TRANSMISSION RECENNTLY FAILED, NEEDS TO BE REBUILT, VAN STARTS BUT DONT DRIVE, MOTOR NEEDS A TUNE UP, VEHICLE SOLD AS IS, THE VAN DOES NOT COME WITH THE YAKIMA RACK PICTURED IN SOME OF THE PICTURES!!This van is a project Van, there's broken and missing parts but all in all is pretty complete and clean.275000 milesIt gets around 18 MPG around town 21 HWYseats 5 as isPlenty of storage for camping and work and dogs and gear and groceries Not a smoker Van :) This is a really cool van, I am so sad that it broke. I cant fix it but its so worth it. It's got cosmetic issues on the middle left panel right in front of the rear left wheel, old owner couldnt see much so she hit a couple of things on her way home before deciding to sell it. True story!! Also there's some rust around the left sliding window on middle left, I covered it with tape 2 years ago and it's kept it dry. There's some rust spots on the roof too, nothing too crazy but the van used to live on the beach in Malibu, get it.... You get the Van complete with original VW manuals, tow hitch, spare tire, rear speakers.- a newer set of front speakers-pioneer cassette radio, antenna is broken-2002 passat wheels ;) Parts included and work done -New Oil cooler and whole cooling system flush, ($500)-Recently done front and rear brakes.($900)-Right Front Fender primed black, not installed.-set of 2 turn front turn lights, not installed-wiper blade lever, not installed-Heater core, not installed The van needs the front end bushings redone, you can find those on EBAY for less than a hundred bucks, my mechanic quoted me $300 for the job and to install the heater core and wiper lever another $300, transmission needs to be redone and I don't have the time or money to go there. Is a rare model with 5 speed transmission, transmission needs to be rebuilt though. I bought the van with all the cosmetic defects it has today and slowly started buying replacement parts to one day do a full restore but run out of money due to house remodel.The dash: the wiper lever is broken but I have a replacement for it.The front: I have the replacement fender and the mechanic said it could be bent back in place easy and install the new fender .I also have a new set of clear front turn lights.AC works great.Heater does not work but I have a new heater core yet to be installed.The wheels are 02 passat 15'The bench seat extends to be a bed and it's great for camping, lots of storage, the table works and it has plenty of cup-holders all in good condition..The van is in used condition, there's no rips on upholstery but there's missing interior parts.
