Vehicle Detail

Most of these were known as flower cars and you would see them in the funeral processions following the hearse, carrying the loads of flowers. These particular models were built using a fiberglass bed which was bonded into the steel body. Sometime in the mid 60's, right about the circa of this particular model they caught the eye of some of the well to do Texas Cowboys who decided they just had to have a Cadillac Pickup Truck! 1966 Cadillacs are considered by many aficionados to be one of the best Cadillacs ever built. The trim tag shows this particular model being born with paint code #16 Regal Silver Metallic with a Grey interior. I was told that the old man who owned the car changed the color over 30 years ago and also had the interior professionally changed over to the blue/white motif. The chrome appears to be all original. The floor pans are all solid and rust free with no undercoat hiding anything. Just bare, rustfree floor pans like you find in the AZ desert. The engine starts all the time and the car runs and drives great! Power Windows and Power Seat work. It has an aftermarket radio that does not work and the ComfroTron AC System does not work. If you want/need an attention getter for your business this could be a vehicle for you. If you want a cool old car to drive to the car shows I think you'll have the only one there! Go check out youtube and take a look at what some of the rodders have done with these! Pretty awesome! I don't have it priced at $25,000 because it's not a $25,000 car! But, I have it priced (what I consider to be fair) and "on the money"! So please bid with confidence and bid to own! I do have the vehicle for sale locally so I must reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally. If you want to know about that, please contact me direct. Over the years I have sold many classics to customers in Europe, The UK and Australia and can help with shipping and import paperwork. I am familiar with the AC degassing requirements, the Receipts needed for the degassing of the AC system, the CFC Compliance Report and the Approval to Import permit. Call me direct for an honest description. Thanks, Kane
