Vehicle Detail
What Ive Got for you today, Is a 1992 Honda Prelude Si "Vtec" IT IS NOT A H23 2.3L NON VTEC. First and Foremost, the Car DOES NOT RUN. The timing jumped due to an unknown issue, i believe it to be the idler. Car comes with new timing belt kit. the engine was swapped out of a 1994 Honda Prelude Si Vtec, and is an H22A1 it has less miles than the car, but do not know exact mileage. Before the Failure, the engine had a complete going through. it needed nothing and compression was perfect, I worked for a Honda Dealership, and performed an oil change using a honda filter the same day i put the engine in the car. the car retains, an H23A1 Transmission, with a stage three Six puck clutch. flywheel was resurfaced. being that it was a six puck, it chattered from time to time. third gear did grind occasionally, but it always went in. This car was saved, when i picked it up, it had a pretty nasty front end hit. all the repair work was done by myself, a qualified, automotive tech. i installed a NEW hood, front bumper, blacked out projector headlights, and all markers, and a USED pass side fender, along with a USED radiator. this stuff alone cost me well over 1500$ it was not painted due to lack of funding. BODY CONDITION hood has small dent the sixe of a dollar bill right in the front, and the bumper has a crack. i pulled the front end out the best i could, but didnt have a morgan knocker to pull the fender up. so the gap on the pass side of the hood is about 1 inch, only in the front, from what i remember. fender is a dark green and has a dent, has typical rear quarter rust, i would say about the size of a half dollar on the pass side, drivers side looks like it was fixed, no idea as to quality of repair. paint is ALRIGHT, it looks like it was poorly painted by someone who had no idea what he was doing, paint was peeling on trunk. INTERIOR CONDITION It was a pretty good interior, the drivers seat acted a little funny, if you brought it forward to put a passenger in, it would only lock in the "gangster lean" position. i found a way to make it sit where i wanted it. I pulled the radio for my new car, and the center vents are missing. ENGINE CONDITION Its an H22A1, i heard a grinding noise, like the exhaust hit the ground, and i pulled over, car idled really wierd for a minute, then stalled. i didnt try and start it. pulled the valve cover, and checked the timing belt, it had a ton of play, and i havent looked at it since. had the car towed to my dads house, and there it sits. i got a new job working in a factory, and work takes up 90% of my time, i dont have the time or energy to work on the car anymore. It comes with a timing belt, will probably need a head, and it might possibly need pistons. THE GOOD, car had alot of suspension work put into it. liek probably near 15 hours, and 2500$ i installed, New front upper control arms, New front lower ball joints, New bushings anywhere it needed them, new endlinks where it needed them, any wierd noises i heard while driving, i fixed. i like my cars to run, and not make any banging, bumping noises. it has an Intake, and cat back exhaust with a gutted cat, sounded great when it hit vtec, not ricey, i used an ebay brand 2.5 inch exhaust, the header cracked so i put in the factory header and downpipe. the performance downpipe is in the trunk. along with a timing belt kit. the car had all regular maintainance done right before it broke down, fresh oil, alignment, and good used tires. So in essence, i picked this car up for 1000$, i put around 3500 into it, and all it needs now is an engine. it can be fixed cheaper, but an engine would be around 750$. you can go Jdm for 1000. it needs basic bodywork, any one with the basic knowledge of painting, could fix the body. Any questions, feel free to text, 57O-6ate7-4l3l. ill reply as soon as possible, and try to answer you questions as best i can. your more than welcome to fix it where it sits, or tow it to wherever, but i will not deliver. thanks, and happy bidding. if you dont have the money, DONT BID!
