I have a 2002 Subaru Impreza wrx for sale that is currently not running. I had the short block replaced a little under a year ago by a place in Independence, MO called AAA Certifix ( I wouldn't recommend going there; very unprofessional) I had the car in and out of the shop for small things after they had finished replacing the short block. On to what happened to the vehicle, while I was driving about 40 mph the car started to stutter hard and then regain power and it did this about 3 times before the car completely shut off and rolled to a stop. I tried to restart but the only thing it would do is hardly idle( around 200 rpms) and when I would try and give it gas it just died again. After calling the shop and trying to get them to come and get the car to take a look I decided to take off the timing cover and take a look for myself. I find that the smallest idler that the timing belt runs along has come off the block and by come off the block I mean that the bolt holding it in was probably over torque by the shop and the bolt holding that idler in place has broken off into the block. If I had the time and the tools or the shop who replaced my short block would actually honer their warranty I would just have the car fixed and keep it but I'm getting slightly annoyed with not having a vehicle so hints why I am selling it. WILL CONSIDER TRADES AS WELL. CAR WILL HAVE TO BE TOWED AWAY IF PURCHASED. CLEAN TITLE IN HAND.
