Here's your chance to own a classic vehicle made by one of the most innovative car companies in history. 1983 AMC Eagle wagon W/select drive 4 wheel drive. This Eagle was originally a Colorado car. With the help of info from the Eagles Nest LLC, the high altitude circuit has been disabled and the timing set. I have the factory jumper wire in case you need it. This is a classic restoration and is being sold as such.I drive this everyday and have taken some trips with it. Mileage is approximate since the speedometer was not working when I got it. This car is very special as it has features found in the limited models. These features are hard to find in a lot of the survivor Eagles. What it has: * Dual power seats( Both work) * Cruise control (inop) * Tilt steering * Dual electric mirrors( Working) * Power locks( unlocks but left side doesn't lock) * Power windows ( left rear inop, broken wire by door hinge) * A/C( works but may new compressor clutch)( idler pulley needs replaced) * Rear wiper * Rear defroster (bad switch) * 4.2L inline 6 The frame is in great shape without rot The seats are in decent shape for the age When I bought this, it got 9mpg. After working on it I am now getting 18mpg towing a loaded trailer. What I have replaced mechanically: Carburetor w/stepper motor & choke Spark plugs Plug wires Rotor Dist. Cap Fuel filter Fuel line (Carb to tank) Fuel pump Vacuum temp switch in head EGR valve O2 sensor Rear brakes and wheel cylinders Front and rear shocks Lower speedo cable with speed sensorIt has the usual oil leaks and sputters a little when running but accelerates fine. I have driven this to work and out of town.It is a car in need of restoration. Interior: I have a new headliner and carpet. They are color matched to the year and model. It will look like the day it came from the dealer. The new headliner is installed and the carpet is still in the box. I do not have a new cargo area carpet. stock-interiors.com carries AMC replacement carpet. They can match the number of the carpet. I have replaced the rear hatch seal with the correct seal.(Thanks again Eagles Nest) Unfortunately, before I got it, water seeped through and there is a rust hole in the storage lid over the spare tire area. This is a fine specimen for restoration. There are some dents on both front fenders. The leaf springs need new bushings. I have pictures and video of it running.
