Vehicle Detail

1998 Ferrari F355 F1 GTBTUBI with Challenge GrillOnly 5,700 miles Video below http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnYILUCN9ss&feature=youtu.be To those interested, I am selling my 1998 Ferrari 355 with F1 gearbox. I have acquired this vehicle about seven months ago locally when the vehicle had a left front accident damage. At the time, the vehicle had about 5100 miles on it. I brought the car to my friends shop and used the parts I had on hand to get it fixed. The extent of the damage included the left front corner, everything in the front with the exclusion of the passenger headlight and the fender. Those were the only parts salvagebel on the car. The whole front end of the vehicle was taken apart and a used front end was put in place. The airbags are the factory ones and were not deployed during the accident. The engine was running at the time of my purchase but the gearbox would not shift due to a burnt out two fuses. Please check the pictures and the video after you read below to what was done to the car: The complete interior of the vehicle was removed, including the complete doors and were stored in storage while the work went on.Front end replacement with OEM parts and no body fillers were used. The windshield was replaced with a used unit I had on hand. The rack and pinion was replaced due to the left front damage.Only the bottom control arm was replace. The top one and the shock absorber were in good shape. The stereo was replaced with an Alpine brand new unit with bluetooth capability. The complete sticky parts, except the A/C controls have been cleaned from their sticky crap. The engine starts every time and runs with no issue. The lube service was done 200 miles prior me purchasing the vehicle. The gearbox has been flushed with redline and shifts with no issues at all gears, in and out of traffic and at all temperatures.A/C has been recharged due to the front lines being disconnected and blows cold as it should. The cooling system has been flushed and refilled with BMW blue coolant. The paint was matched in house from two shades of Ferrari coded paints that did not match from the supplier and was cleared with Glasurit clearcoat. Oh yes, that was expensive.BTW, the paint match and the quality came out perfect. All of the air diffusers are present and are not damaged.Accelerator pedal has been adjusted to give you a firm and crisp response on accelerating. The Bad:The front and the rear tires are a mismatch although they are both Michelin. The rear ones are a later model ones. I would match them up in the future when its time to get them all replaced. The rear wheels have minor scrapes from a dolly use and tire shop carelessness. One of the fog light bulbs and two trim pieces are out but I will get it replaced before you pick it up:)The driver door panel as a 5mm damaged area where the leather has been pilled off. Please see picture. This is a beautiful car that was put together with at most care. Lot of time was spent to make sure everything comes out perfect. This includes getting all of the inner panels repainted in flat black on the tip of the fenders, inner structure and the windshield based metal portion. The vehicle drives as it should for a low mile Ferrari. Initially I thought abu]out parting it out to make more money but could not convince myself to do it since it had very low miles and was a super clean car to begin with. If I have not answered any questions you may have in mind, feel free to get in touch and I will be glad to forward any info to you.THE VEHICLE IS ADVERTISED LOCALLY AND MAY BE SUBJECT TO THE AUCTION CANCELLATION IF SOLD PRIOR TO THE AUCTION END. ThanksSteve818-621-4593 On Jan-05-12 at 12:07:57 PST, seller added the following information: Just to add couple of left out points and answer some questions: The car comes with factory toolbox, Ferrari red car cover and steering wheel cover. It comes with one set of key and fob. Its the black fob and not the red one.As to the service, I know the lube service was done. As far as major, I can not verify it since I do not have the books or records. But, the car is super clean and was well maintained. This was a Los Angeles car with the production date of December 1997. On Jan-08-12 at 11:20:58 PST, seller added the following information: I had received a request from one of my bidders to cancel his bid due to bidding by mistake or maybe not doing their homework first. I will not make their name public, but you know who you are and if you wish to bid on the vehicle again, please contact me first for authorization.
