Cost to replace the lifters exceeded the cost to replace the engine with brand new drop in unit from GM. This was a complete engine rand new from Sewell GMC in TX that was purchase from GM during factory slowdown. The engine was complete with all sensors, manifolds, brackets, wires and plugs. This engine would have been used in a new 2009-2010 GM SUV or truck but when GM sales slowed down they sold off these excess engines to dealers. At time of engine replacement the transmission was serviced, O2 sensors were replaced, MAF sensor was replaced and all belts and hoses were replaced.
