1949 Mercury Lead Sled This is an opportunity to purchase a Mercury Lead Sled at a fraction of the going price. This car is in very good condition. The body and undercarriage are solid; there is no rust. The engine runs smoothly and the transmission shifts properly. This vehicle sports a flathead eight with rebuilt Holley carburetor, new dual exhaust pipes, gas tank, radial tires, shocks and seat re-upholstery (front and rear). The car has been fitted with an electric fuel pump, fender skirts, working spot light, baby moon hubcaps and original radio and clock. Chrome trim, front and rear emblems and rear door handles have been removed (all included in sale and are pictured below). Headliner has been removed in anticipation of chopping this car. I have all the bows and dome light as well (they are pictured below). Use it as is or chop it and double your investment. NADA for this car in average condition is $19,150.00.
