Each vehicle is thoroughly road tested before being listed on eBay so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. Vehicles are available for test drives and inspections by appointment only at my York, PA storage facility. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. I am not a mechanic but I make every effort to accurately represent each vehicle I sell to the best of my ability. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. This Grand Cherokee comes well optioned for a Laredo and in its most desirable combination (4.0L engine with Selec-Trac 4WD). I would rate the exterior condition of this Jeep as AVERAGE for its age and miles. This is a very good looking Jeep. The blue paint has a nice shine and looks good from any angle. The buyer of this Jeep should expect normal wear for the age such as minor scratches and dings here and there. There is one noticable scratch on the right rear fender and a tiny bubble of rust where the metal was exposed (please see photograph). The headlights have a normal amount of haze which can be removed with a simple compound if you wish. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The tires have decent tread all around. Again, this is a good looking Jeep. I would rate the interior condition of this Jeep to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and miles. The door panels are all clean and tight. The carpets are clean and show well throughout the cabin. The headliner is clean and tight. The seats are very clean, comfortable and also show very well. This is a very well equipped Laredo. In addition to the standard power windows, locks and mirrors...this Grand Cherokee has remote entry, dual power seats, HomeLink integrated garage door openers and an onboard computer with customizable features. The climate control system appears to be working as it should be. The stereo is the original am/fm radio with CD and cassette and is equipped with the optional Infinity Gold speakers. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running condition. The famous 4.0L inline six starts easily and runs smoothly. During my time driving this vehicle, it has shown excellent road manners. The suspension is nice and tight. The steering is responsive. The brakes do an excellent job of stopping this Jeep, too. The engine keeps a steady temperature and there were no warning lights on. The oil pressure gauge is not reading right (all the way up...all the time) which is common. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. This Jeep has the more desirable Selec-Trac 4WD system which allows you to drive in 2WD when you don't need 4WD...but offers AWD, 4Hi and 4Lo to handle any driving situation. I prefer Selec-Trac to the optional Quadra-Trac full time 4WD because the Quadra-Trac tends to bind up and gets noticably worse fuel economy.
