Vehicle Detail
Please read this entire description before placing a bid. For sale, a 2001 Honda TRX90 in played-with by the kiddies condition. It's completely stock, in nice shape, occasionally starts hard when cold. Runs perfect hot no problems with throttle tip in, low speed, etc. No damage to plastic, motor completely stock including air filter, jets and exhaust, brakes adjusted and all work. One tire is plugged but has been that way for years and does not leak air. Throttle limiter included. Always run by the kiddos in our grassy yard (not this one!) and on trails in the woods. Reason for selling is we don't have 3 acres like we used to, new house has 1/10th of that and I think the neighbors believe running a quad in the subdivision on 1/3 acre is pushing it. It's not been armor-alled or detailed for the pictures as you can see, this is how it is. ONly rust is on exaust pipe even the frame is still glossy black and clean up real nice. It's mostly been a slow speed tool for the kids but unlimited, it does make sufficient power to approach 60 mph with a small adult on board -- don't be tempted to hand this over to the kids without the throttle limiter! Clean title and no liens. Check my feedback, no negatives even before this new system, thanks for looking and good luck bidding. On Jan-03-12 at 07:39:26 PST, seller added the following information: Hey I had a couple more questions about the condition of the bike, it's normally not kept this dirty but we moved really quickly and this is how it literally went out of the the old house, on the truck and back off into this garage. Under the dirt film the black paint on the frame had a complete wax job midsummer and I also like to keep the brake linkages and bright metal parts oiled down with WD-40. I see these units on Ebay photographed just after a wash with everything wet and oiled from top to bottom in the dealer sales, that would have been very easy to do with this unit but I didn't want to falsely represent this bike as some kind of mint condition garage queen when it's not. What you see is how it actually is, it looks in real life just as it does in these pictures. With a bath and a detail it comes across as a $1500 unit but I will leave that satisfaction to you. I had a question from a better educated buyer about 60mph - it's an exxageration meant to draw attention to the fact that without the throttle limiter screw, this will be too fast for kids as a toy. Top measured speed is probably more like 40+ ish (see question from bidder below) but is an estimate on my part based on one chase on a gravel road, I don't know what it is supposed to be either stock or modified. There is no speedo or retrofit headlight, tail lights, etc. Electrical system is stock. Also I want to very clearly say that if you are not comfortable with this auction please be honest with yourself and don't bid - go away. I don't need bad buyers, no payments, driveway discounters or false expectations. Read and look at the pics this is what it is.On Jan-03-12 at 19:06:58 PST, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention that if you are in the area you are welcome to stop by, hear it run and drive it prior to auction end as well as at pickup. On Jan-04-12 at 19:14:49 PST, seller added the following information: Be aware I have no way or method to ship this item. If you have a way to do it I will help load it on your truck or with your shipper. Otherwise local pick up only.On Jan-08-12 at 07:15:51 PST, seller added the following information: I have in-hand a "Certificate of Orgin for a Vehicle" from Honda Motor Co for this bike, I am the 2nd owner from new, there is one assignable space left for the winner of this auction. On Jan-11-12 at 17:20:38 PST, seller added the following information: A few more pics to help answer some questions. One is the best pic of the chain and sprocket I could get, the chain needs lube but that and the sprocket looks fine to me with a bit of wear and lots of life left. There is some play in the left front outer tie rod that results in about 1/16th of movement at the wheel rim, everything else feels tight. I cleaned up a couple of spots on the frame to show it does clean up and the bright metal fasteners are still bright. Also the bidding reversed today because I had to give the high bidder the boot, no communicado. Thanks for your questions.
