1965 Ford mustang fastback , rustfree 3 owner Ca. car . A code , 4 speed , disc brakes , all original sheetmetal and cherry floors . The second owner was looking for a 1965 GT350 in 1967 and couldn't find one to buy , so he bought this car then 2 years old . He installed the Shelby hood scoop and functional ducted side scoops , Hurst shifter , Holley 4 barrel , Shelby tach , magnesium 2 piece Cragar wheels on this car in 67-69 , which was the best A code 4 speed disc brake original black on black car he could find . He had the engine rebuilt 15,000 miles ago with a hi po cam , new clutch and it runs and drives excellent . I bought it , took it completely apart , engine/glass/interior everything else taken apart for paint . It had original carpet , sound deadener , near mint seat covers and headliner , it was that nice of a car but the paint was faded . I had a 2 stage paint job done in Wimbledon white with Guardsman blue racing stripes , lots of clear , color sanded and buffed to a mirror finish . All new interior , weatherstripping , chrome , trim etc. Engine was completely detailed on a stand . Engine compartment was sandblasted and prepped prior to paint and I spent a lot of time and money making it as nice as possible . Doors shut like new ! I powder coated approx. 50 parts and had all of the original hardware zinc plated . Brakes are new . Deluxe steering wheel , bullet mirror , totally restored folddown seat , Shelby style seatbelts . I mean basically everything on the car is restored or new . Has a 5th magnesium wheel as a spare not pictured . Previous owner kept his blue personalized Ca. plates , but I will include this set of black plates to be used as YOM . It is an original Ca. black plate car built in San Jose . All lights , gauges and wipers work . Still has that orig. Shelby tach and "Caution do not exceed 150 MPH in second gear" label he put on there in 1967 !!! I kept all of the priginal parts that came off it , including chrome hi po air cleaner/valve covers , seat covers etc. so you can see how nice it was . Once again it is rustfree original , not patched up . It runs , drives and looks awesome . I reserve the right to end the auction if a deal is struck . I have a reproduction Shelby vin tag with this cars vin engraved on it I will include to be used at shows , this is not an original Shelby . I believe the drivetrain to be the original one that was installed in the car when it was built .
