FACTS: a 1968 Camaro Convertible automatic. It has rare power windows, Matching numbers 327, protecto-plate, and was a one owner family. The car was bought new at Mirak Chevrolet in Arlington MA. on June 25th 1968. It remained in their possession until it was sold to the grandson in Feb. 1980(have names, but will not post for privacy). It had not ran in a few years, but fired right up with a little gas. I bought a carpet for it, and then decided to sell it. I simply do not have the storage, or time to go all the way especially now that winter is really here.All cocktail shakers are in place, and the car is complete. It is, and has always been a console staple shift style. There is no air conditioning, and has manual drum brakes all the way around. The fundamentals are solid, frame rails, body mounts, and shock towers. Interior is in good shape, considering it is over forty years old. It needs new headlight bulbs, and cleaning on the back glass(fogged). This car starts, runs(very well), and drives around the yard, but thats as far as it has gone. It has a soft pedal, maybe the drums need adjusting....I would do that before taking it further. All exhaust is intact, and the fluids remain topped off.ISSUES:The aforesaid are general observations I have made, but also, will need the following addressed in the future. The Quarters in the rear are solid, but towards the front by the door, it has rot on both sides, and bubbling. Each front fender has rot, and bubbles on the lower portions. The trunk has a few flakey areas, but overall just needs a good cleaning. The front windshield has a crack where the VIN is located. Has a rot spot on the driver floor area, the rest seem nice and solid.________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ -With all this said, its 43 years old, but in great shape considering that. It would be ideal for the weekend warrior, or someone with more resources(and money) than I.
