Here we have another great NO RESERVE auction from C&J Auto. High bid gets in at the end. This is a very nice project truck for someone with the time and skills to repair or replace the engine. It is equipped with the 7.3 Powerstroke intercooled turbo Diesel. Our regularly used Diesel shop diagnosed it with low compression and it has 6 of the 8 glow plugs inop along with a bad valve cover gasket. It Does NOT currently start OR RUN. It does turn over freely. For us, it doesn't make financial sense to repair the truck paying shop rate with NEW parts. If you are a professional tech and are looking for a NICE, RUST FREE truck to build over the winter, this could be the one. Take a look at the book value on this even with the miles. You should not have any problem making a few bucks on this truck if done the smart way. The Turbo is BRAND NEW. The old one turned itself to dust causing the low compression condition. I am going to start the auction at what just some of the parts are worth such as the transmission, T-case, front and rear differentials, interior, bumpers, sheetmetal, turbo, 8 injectors ,etc,etc..... The truck is definetely worth fixing. The body doesn't have ANY rust. Sure there are a few scratches, holes, dents, and dings but take a look at the pics of the truck overall! It would be a pity to part out. The interior is as nice as they get. Clean and no odors. There's rubber floor mat instead of carpet that ges muddy. The bed floor is straight and has a hitch for a gooseneck ball. All the glass is good. The power windows go up and down like they should. Power locks try. Everything else electrical works as far as I can tell. That's pretty much all I can see. Since I am only human, there's a good chance I've missed some stuff. I highly encourage inspections on all vehicles offered, either in person, or by a hired professional. There are many different companies that specialize in doing nothing but that. They generally charge between $100-$175 and may truly be a bargain to give you piece of mind and any additional info you may need. The vehicle will be made available for inspection by appointment. If you decide to forego the inspection, there really is no reason you should be unhappy about anything after the auction has ended. Most of our vehicles are generally purchased at dealer only auctions for the sole purpose of resale. We sell these vehicles FAR below any dealer retail prices. This gives you room for any additional repairs that you see fit. They have not undergone ANY type of inspections/ or tests for ANYTHING. This includes emmissions and safety inspections. We cannot guarantee compliance of the vehicle for your state, because every state has different requirements as far as safety and emissions inspections are concerned.
