We offer you a 1 owner,240d W123,original,unrestored condition. Car came with the original PA title from 1979 showing that the owner bought the car new and had a 9500$ lien at that time,on it,quite expensive...paid off in 1983...the 14 digit old VIN: 12312310095087 It is a garaged kept,beautiful example,original down to the hubcaps,original paint,interior,tools,unused spare and first aid kit. Exterior is a rare pastellblau 922 paint code, light blue and interior is dark blue MBtex.Paint is glossy like on a new car,quite amazing. Car was garaged kept,so,interior is close to new as possible.Dash is perfect,no cracks.Carpeting is dry,no water on the floors,padding in the seats is original,I did not find any significant horse hair residue under the seats. First aid kit and the carpeting behind the rear seat and under the armrest is perfect,no discoloration. Headliner is clean,no stains,sunvisors are intact. It has the factory Webasto sunroof,manual,twist and turn release,works perfect,no leaks,slides easy. Books and data plate in the glove compartment. Original Becker Europa works fine. AC is functional,the original York compressor still kicks in quiet,heat and all controls work, Steering wheel retains the wrinckles,like on a new car,no wear,middle console is intact,ashtray,cigarette lighter and door pockets are intact,windows close fine,no humidity inside the car. Trunk is dry,never had any water residue in the spare well and on the side pockets,spare has the original Michelin tire from 1978,jack and tools are included.Gas cap still retains pressure in the system. Car starts and runs beautiful,oil pressure is always on top,even with the engine warm,manual chocke/idle advance works fine,dash,odometer,clock,all work. No vacuum leaks,power locks work fine,still hold vacuum after one week, without starting the car. Engine compartment looks fenomenal.You can stay next to this car and there is no scent of diesel,all the injectors,pump,filters,return lines are dry,no seepeage,not even from the valve cover.Hood pad is intact. New brake master cylinder and calipers,stops perfect,parking brake works perfect. Original glow plug system,never retrofited,starts the car at one turn of the key,below freezing. Car is cruising nicely at 70 mph,body and motor mounts retained their integrity,no shimmy,I got it up to 80 mph,even if the manufacturer specs show a 72 mph top speed...however the engine is healthy,no injector nailing,the pump is adjusted perfect,so are the valves,so,this thing is running like the day it was build.Clutch feels great. There is no way I can find another example in such a good running condition,actually,have not found one in the last 15 years,some of these cars might still look good,however,you are not gona find a 240d that will keep up with today's traffic on the hwy.,and still let you listen to the radio...
