Vehicle Detail

1968 Coronet R/T clone, looks kinda like a Charger. Shows almost 29000 miles on odometer, no idea if its accurate. Bad mama jama rat rod. Built for street/strip. Runs a 360 with a voodoo cam, headers, edelbrock intake, built 727 tranny, 2500 stall converter, cheatah valve body, B&M shifter (full manual or auto), rear coilovers, under-dash heater (This info from the guy I bought it from. From the way it runs I think its accurate, but obviously I haven't torn it apart to check.) The R/T parts on this car are real (not repops). I have the missing blinker from the right rear, it goes with the car. The car has good Louisiana title, ignore the Oregon plates, I just happened to have one and slapped it on there so I wouldn't get pulled over. Primered black. She's a good driver and runs like a scalded dog, I just took her on a 300 mile roundtrip and she ran great. Aluminum radiator and electric fan keeps the gauge below 190. Oil pressure warmed up at idle is 40psi. Car has rust in the usual old Dodge places. Hear it run (sorry for the sideways picture) at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyeI9cCufoI&feature=youtu.be I bought this car with a numbers matching R/T and a parts car (neither are included in this auction), I simply do not have room for this one but its a good driver and great street racer. This is an R/T CLONE, if it were a real R/T it would cost 10 times as much. Fine Print: You are bidding on a 43 year old vehicle. Old vehicles may have been wrecked, rusted, farted in, repainted, diferent drivetrains etc. and whose to know? Certainly not me. Although I have attempted to describe it well you are urged to inspect it before you bid. By bidding on this vehicle you agree that the venue for any and all disputes is Dallas County, Texas. A 500 USD payment is required on auction close. VEHICLE IS FOR SALE LOCALLY, YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOSE. Thanks for bidding. On Dec-17-11 at 14:02:06 PST, seller added the following information: Vehicle is sold as is where is. If you need some time to ship etc. I will make reasonable accomodations. On Dec-19-11 at 06:29:58 PST, seller added the following information: Lots of questions about rust. The car needs the middle of the trunk floor and some left wheelhousing work where it looks like a tire blew and cracked the housing. Repairs were made by previous owner to quarters and rear window. Frame rails are solid, trunk lip is rusty but doesn't show unless trunk open. Once again, I would call this one a driver or a good one to restomod. On Dec-26-11 at 06:55:43 PST, seller added the following information: Trying to answer most common questions Previous owner repaired the rust on the bottom quarters, used fiberglass, it looks good even up close If you wanted to redo it you could get by with patch panels,in my cheapo opinion total new quarters are not needed, heck i'd leave it as is. I dont know how many actual miles are on the car, odometer says 29k, I think you could safely assume its 129k but it could be 129million for all I know. Trunk floor is shot, need replacement or a lot of creative patching, frame rails are good, floor passes my stomp test but i didnt peel up the carpet. Interior is missing some trim and glovebox door, needs headliner, dash is sun-cracked, seats are bench and need recovered but its fine to drive with the wal mart seat cover on it. Door panels need recover but masonite base is good and handles/window cranks etc are fine. ITS A DRIVER, if you want to make it a show car you have a lot of work in your future, these old cars rust everywhere, good framerails are about the best you can hope for, anything else is gravy. It runs good, the old manual drums stop it, it steers,it doesnt leak in rain, the windows roll up and down I drive it on the highway, its fine. This is an old street/strip car, its cool and LOUD and fast I GET IN IT, FIRE IT UP,HANG MY ARM OUT THE WINDOW AND SCARE OLD LADIES AND CHILDREN . Thanks for bidding and thanks for all the questions.
