Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 2001 F-150 Lariat 2-WD truck. I'm looking to buy me a crew-cab. This is a very solid truck. It runs and drives out great. Even at highway speeds down the Interstate. No strange noises or sounds at all. This is a Lariat and everything works inside, cruise, AC, heat, radio, all lights, etc, etc. I have just recently replaced the front ball joints and upper A-Arms by professional alignment shop and and re-aligned. Truck tracks straight down the road. You ford guys know that these trucks come from factory with no grease fittings and that is one of the things that go bad on these trucks pretty quick. Bad move on FORD. Just my opinion. The new parts do have the grease fittings but should be good to go for another 100,000+ miles. I also had them install some spring spacers to raise front of truck up to level it out. Everyone thinks it is a 4-WD. The tires were installed March of this year. They have around 12,000+/- miles on them. They are in great shape with many miles to go. No plugs, patches or etc. I have changed the spark plugs, all coil packs (just because), fuel filter, air filter, and changed oil regularly. I have had many FORDS and several coil pack issues. So, since I was changing plugs, I went ahead and changed coil packs. Not the easiest task either. You FORD guys know what I mean. Truck has a class 3 receiver, the standard 4 prong-flat wiring plug and the 6 prong round plug. Now, there are few little things I do want to point out. Want to honest and up front. Nothing major. 1. The front passenger door lock does not work with the "clicker" or buttons on the door. The door will lock but have to do it manually. No big deal to me. Like that when I bought it. 2. The rear passenger door will not open. I believe the rod come loose from the handle. This happened about 3 months ago. Once again, no big deal to me. I hardly used the door anyways. 3. The front drivers seat does have some wear on it. Normal for these Ford leather seats. 4. There are a few bad spots that I captured in pictures. One on tailgate and one on right rear fender flare. Like that when I bought it. Hey, its a truck. It happens. 5. The chrome exhaust tips on the duals coming out the back could be replaced as there are few holes in them. Doesn't hurt performance. Just a visual thing. I'm not trying to discourage anyone from buying. Just being honest and straight up here. That's the way I am. Then there's no surprises when you get here to pick it That's why I'm taking the chance and offering at NO RESERVE. You may want to fix some of these things. All in all, It is a good solid truck for 11 years old and lower miles than most 2001 vehicles nowadays. I'm sure I left out something. If you have any questions, fell free to ask or call me at 229-251-1722. Larry Thanks for looking. On Dec-16-11 at 05:23:48 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE: I just replaced the front brake pads this morning. The "wear indicators" started squealing yesterday so I went ahead and replaced them. Thanks again, Larry
