1982 Chevrolet Luv DLX Diesel with 5spd manual, cold A/C, power steering, and power brakes. Now for the good part. I brought this truck back from California with no rust whatsover. I just completed a year long frame off restoration. Frame was blasted and painted in epoxy primer and the best black chassis paint. ALL suspension, steering, and brake parts are brand new. 2.2 Isuzu diesel engine was remanufactured by one of the best machine shops in Georgia (NEICO). New injection pump and injectors. Transmission refurbished with new shifter. Body was stripped down to bare metal and painted in factory Silver basecoat/clearcoat paint. Heavy duty chrome bumpers like new. New windshield. All new interior to include dash, steering wheel, seat, door panels, carpet, and headliner. New wheels and tires. New odometer installed during restoration and is showing the correct 2400 miles since completion of restoration. Truck had approximately 100K miles when I began the project. Right now injection pump set a little rich to aid in correct engine break in. After a few more miles, it could be leaned back out for better mileage. Currently getting 28-30 mpg even with it set a bit rich. Went with the longbed with the idea of hauling my Harley but have since sold the bike and really have no use for an addtional vehicle since I am now retired. This is the cleanest, like new Chevrolet Luv/Isuzu diesel you will find. Like new from top to bottom. 1982 was the last year for the Luv. I would feel comfortable driving this truck anywhere in the US right now. Although this is probably the cleanest and best restored 1982 Luv you will come across, due to the fact that it is still almost 30 years old it is not a brand new 2011 vehicle and no warranties are expressed or implied. Sold as-is. Hate to say that, but you always run across "that guy". Haha. Fly in and drive home or arrange your own delivery but I will help in any way possible.
