My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you big money over retail. I am going to shorten this description up considerably from my usual format because this vehicle is a little different than what I typically sell. This vehicle can be viewed in person by emailing me to request a time to come see it. Ad administrative fee will be added to the final bid of this auction. My typical administrative fee is $149. If you do not need title/tag service, I will lower the fee to $99 to cover eBay and transport costs. If you do want the title, the normal fee will apply as this creates more cost for me. I purchased this 1985 Blazer back in April of this year. I bought it specifically for the body. This is one of the cleanest old Blazer's I had ever seen. There is no rust on the body. There are also no dents, dings or scratches either. The wheels are in great shape and the tires are practically new. It ran and drove with no issues when I bought it. I made the mistake of parking it in a low lying spot of the parking lot at the auction back in April when we got all that rain here in PA and the parking lot flooded. The Blazer was parked at an incline with its nose slightly down. The high water mark went from the top of the headlights to the top of the rear bumper. Here is everything I know... The interior took in water but the seats are vynil and the floor is rubber so there aren't any bad odors. There was NOT any water up under the dash. The engine took in water. I pulled it out with my rollback and never tried to start it submerged. Once back at my shop, I let it sit and dry out for a while and drained the oil (and water) from the engine. I filled it with new oil and replaced the filter. The lights all work. The power windows work, ect. so I don't see any electrical issues. There is no computer or anything to mess up. I did try and start it once I drained and refilled the engine but it won't even try to start. I think the water killed the starter. I have no idea if there is any damage to the engine or transmission. You are pretty much buying this truck for the body...which is probably the nicest I have seen in a while. Like I said, the interior is vynil. I took some ArmorAll over the seats and they clean up pretty nice. A weekend with some Simple Green should clean everything up very nice. My original plan was to do a small block swap but it doesn't look like that will ever happen. I'm out of space and I haven't touched this poor truck in months...so I think I'm pretty much done with it. I've told you everything I know. Please don't ask me to do any diagnostics on the condition of the engine. I am not a mechanic...and I don't have time to screw with it. If I had the time to mess with it, the engine would already be out of it. You are buying basically the body of this truck. If the motor will run...bonus. I don't know. This vehicle will need to be towed. I can be flexible with pick up but I only have the place it's at through the end of the year and I can't take it with me so it will need picked up by the end of the year.
