Each vehicle is thoroughly road tested before being listed so that I can give the most accurate description of how this vehicle looks, runs and drives. It is recommended that each bidder come see and drive a vehicle in person before bidding. Vehicles are shown by appointment only at my York, PA storage facility. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Please read this entire description before bidding. This includes reviewing all photos as well as my terms & conditions...these are all part of the description. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1990 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe. I would rate the exterior condition of this Thunderbird as average for the age and miles of the vehicle. There is a noticable dent in the right side quarter panel. The clear coat is peeling on most of the top part of the car. It doesn't look bad for a 21 year old car but it's not a show car the way it sits. The S/C specific wheels are in great condition and are wrapped in BRAND NEW MICHELLIN's. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. I love Ford's and couldn't stand to see this one go to waste... I would rate the interior of this SuperCoupe to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition throughout. For a 21 year old car, the interior shows almost new. The S/C specific seats are in great condition and show almost no wear. The power operations work great on the seats. The door panels are clean and in tact. The carpet shows very well as does the headliner. The dash is in great shape, too. The cargo area is spacious and clean. I actually bought this car for the interior. I always wanted a SuperCoupe. Body panels and exterior stuff can be sourced from any T-Bird but finding s/c interior in good shape is next to impossible. Mechancially, this bird will need a little help. I bought this car as a project. I have an extra turbo laying around and thought it would be wicked to build a turbo SuperCoupe...sort of like a Ford "Grand National". The problem is that I already have a real Grand National as well as a project 88 Mustang T-Top. I am moving shops and don't have room to take all of my "cool ideas" along with me. When I purchased this car, it drove well. The suspension and steering are tight and the brakes are solid. Out on the highway, it would cruise nice and smoothly at 80mph. The transmission shifted well. The only problem I had was that it would break up under boost like it was starving for fuel or maybe just needed fresh plugs and wires. As long as you stayed out of the blower, it ran smoothly and drove great. I never bothered with it b/c my project involved using an Electromotive TEC GT which would replace everything in the ignition and upgrade the entire fuel management system in the process. It has been sitting for a while but should run and drive. I would not recommend driving it unless you are local. Beyond an hour, I would plan to trailer it. It should start with a jump and run fine but I haven't driven it in months. I hate to cut her loose but I don't have room at the new place.
