In its day, this four door convertible was quite impressive, and fast. In 1941 Buick developed a fuel delivery system known as "compound carburetion. Essentially they were two - two barrel carburetors linked together. The first carburetor was engaged for normal driving. During high speed travelling or while passing another car, as an example, the second carburetor engages to add twice the amount of fuel. This car has a 165bhp, 320 cu. in. dual two-barrel carburetors, Fireball inline eight-cylinder engine, three-speed manual transmission, independent front suspension with coil springs, semi-floating rear axle with coil springs, and four-wheel hydraulically-actuated drum brakes. Wheelbase: 126"This particular example is complete and original, but does not run and is in need of a restoration.
