Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a really nice ORIGINAL 1966 Chevrolet Bel Air. This car is all original and #'s matching except for the TH350 transmission (Was originally a Powerglide car). This car originally came from the Baker City, Oregon area (Eastern Oregon) and was purchased new by an elderly couple from Richland Oregon. Then a person in Baker City Oregon purchased the car from the original owners, then was purchased by us (3rd Owners). The car was always very well taken care of until it sat for many years. The 2nd owner owned an automotive garage in Baker City, and he rebuilt the original 327 and installed the TH350 Auto trans. When we purchased the car, he told us that he hasn't started the motor in a couple of years. The motor was said to be .30 over (Forged Pistons), and a Mild performance Cam (?) The car has dual exhaust and also has a 12 bolt rear differential. The car was equipped with Power Steering, Power Brakes, A/C, and All Factory Green Tinted Glass. The paint is faded and is missing on a couple of spots on the right rear quarter panel (See Pictures). Has a couple of very small dents / scrapes (See pictures). Has some very light surface rust on the chassis and a few Misc. components such as the hood release, etc. The worst part of the car is the small amount of rust underneath the rear window. The trunk seal has dried up / cracked and leaked and there is some rust in the trunk area also. I was originally going to install a Big Block Chevy with an aftermarket 5 Speed Manual Transmission. For additional money, I do have extra parts. I have an extra front end assembly, rear trunk area sheet metal, rear quarter panel sections from a 4 door, a complete dash, A very nice TILT steering column, Clutch / Brake Pedals, Big Block Chevy ceramic coated headers, NOS Taillight lenses, and an extra Impala rear bumper, GM Corvette Rallye rims or AR Torque Thrust 2's. The car DOES NOT come with the Rallye Rims / Tires or the American Racing Torque Thrust 2 Rims / Tires. Comes with stock GM wheels. VERY LOW RESERVE! Overall, the car is really solid & all original. They tell me this car is very rare where it is a Bel Air and has the factory A/C with Tinted Glass. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message or call me (208) 284-4668 anytime during the day. As for payment, I accept PayPal or other options (Please contact me). This car is being sold with no warranty (Written or implied), and is sold on an "As-Is", "Where-Is" basis. Full payment is expected within 7 days after auction ending. SHIPPING will be the responsibility of the purchaser (Auction winner). On Dec-09-11 at 18:12:42 PST, seller added the following information: To answer several questions, no I could not find the original window sticker, protect-o-plate, nor original bill of sale. The interior needs restored but door panels appear to be re-usable. Pulled up several pieces of carpet on the floor, and from what I could see the floors have original type paint and are very solid. Looked under the car, and as mentioned before there is very light surface rust on the frame, but the floors look very solid. Opened the trunk, there has been some water leakage, and there is some surface rust. I didn't see any holes through the trunk surface. As info, I just lowered the reserve. Someone's going to get a very good car for the money!
