My descriptions are a little long, but all of the information provided is for your benefit. Please take advantage of the information available to you. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 1992 Subaru SVX AWD. The Subaru SVX was a radical departure from what Subaru was known for making in the early 90's. Picture a vehicle like this parked on the Subaru lot next to a Justy...not to mention the price of this car new was around $10,000 higher than anything Subaru had sold prior. This SVX was originally sold right here in Central PA on 7/24/92 for $28,000. Less than 15,000 SVX's were sold in the U.S. during their entire run which makes them fairly desirable...especially with low miles. Even though this car missed its mark in the 90's, it is a great touring vehicle. The driving position is good and the SVX has a good mix of power, economy, comfort and handling ability. I would rate the exterior of this SVX to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for its age. The dark green finish looks good and has a deep shine all around. I couldn't find any scratches, dings or dents worth mentioning. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. The tires are good all around and the SVX specific alloy wheels look to be in good condition. Please review each photo closely. I would rate the interior condition of this SVX as AVERAGE for its age. The door panels are clean and in tact...and the suede trim shows well. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the cockpit. The leather seats show minimal wear and are in good shape for their age. The headliner is clean and in tact. The automatic climate control system is one of the best I've seen...period. It does what you ask it to do without having to screw with it constantly. The air conditioner appears to be working properly. The factory premium sound system powers up and sounds great. The drivers window does not work and the left rear window switch is missing the button (but the window is still operational from either switch). This SVX comes with a complete set of original manuals and literature in the original folder from new. Mechanically, this SVX appears to be in good operating condition. The 3.3L flat 6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I noticed no smoke or leaks coming from this vehicle. I have personally driven this car more than 200 miles and I absolutely love it. One of the lower suspension bushings is pretty thin and makes a little noise and a slight vibration at times. I've driven the car like this without issue but you'll probably need to replace it for inspection. The steering is tight and responsive. The suspension feels great with exception of that bushing. The brakes stop this car very well. It handles better than I expected for a touring car. Actually, it does everything better than I expected. This is one of my favorite cars to drive. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. Other than an ABS light, there are no warning lights on. The engine keeps a steady temperature at all times. This Subaru is my first choice currently as far as vehicles to drive. I know it will probably be a while until I get my hands on another one so I am going to enjoy this one while I have it.
