Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a nice, low mile 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. In my opinion, the Jeep Grand Cherokee represents the best value available in a used SUV. This example is finished in Driftwood over charcoal interior. I would rate the exterior condition of this Grand Cherokee to be in AVERAGE condition for the age and miles. The Driftwood finish on this Jeeps has a deep shine that looks good from any angle. A buyer of a 15 year old vehicle such as this should expect normal scratches and such on the bumpers, ect. from normal use. I did not see any rust or noteworthy damage on this unit. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. The Limited Edition alloy wheels look great and are wrapped in good rubber all around. This Jeep is equipped with a towing hitch. Overall, this is a great looking Jeep. I would rate the interior of this Jeep to also be in AVERAGE condition for its age. This Grand Cherokee Limited comes equipped with a host of features and options. The door panels are clean and in tact. The carpets show well for the age of the vehicle. The headliner is clean and starting to sag a bit as most Jeeps do over time. One seam on the drivers seat has come undone (not torn). Otherwise, the leather seats show very well. The front seats are both power operated and heated with dual memory settings for the drivers seat. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be functioning properly. The Infinity Gold premium audio system is original, sounds good and has steering wheel controls. This Jeep is equipped with remote entry and comes with three keys. The cargo area is clean and spacious. Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running condition. The optional 5.2L V8 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not notice any smoke or leaks coming from this vehicle. During my road test, this Jeep displayed good road manners. The oil pressure is good and the engine kept a steady temperature. There were no warning lights on. The suspension feels pretty good for an older Jeep, showing no major issues. The steering is still tight and the brakes stop this truck very well. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. This Jeep is equipped with the optional Quadra-Trac Full Time 4WD system. Thanks to the 225hp/300tq 318ci V8, accelleration is effortless and there is plenty of power for towing. Highway cruising is nice and easy and there are no vibrations in the front end.
