Vehicle Detail

This Mustang has just come out of a complete and total restoration where it was taken down to the body shell and every component was professionally replaced, rebuilt or refurbished. The car is just gorgeous in every way. Go to this link to view over 150 pictures of the restoration in progress. http://s1102.photobucket.com/albums/g453/2bigdogs/ An extraordinary and beautiful Mustang with nothing left untouched. I urge everyone to look at the detail as shown in the pictures, as they tell the true story. The door tag can clearly be seen in the photos along with the Marti report, and it of course matches the inner fender apron VIN. All GTA options were added during restoration as this was not a factory produced GTA. Mechanical: Every single mechanical component replaced or rebuilt. Fresh and correct 289 cubic inch V8 “A” Code 4bbl 225 horsepower engine and C-4 automatic transmission. The engine, transmission, rear-end, all brakes, all power steering & steering components, wheels, tires and all suspension have all been replaced with new, nothing has been overlooked. To give you an idea of what I’m referring to when I state everything is new I’ll use the brake system as an example. The following is new; calipers, rotors, front hoses, proportioning valve, distribution block, master cylinder, power booster, all steel lines, rear hose, rear cylinders, shoes, drums, etc. Every single component of each and every system on the car is new. The same situation applies to the suspension and steering components. Front springs, spring perches, shocks, upper and lower control arms, sway bar bushings, rear leaf springs, front bushings, shackles, axle to leaf u-bolts, rear shocks, tie rods, power steering control valve, power steering cylinder, power steering pump, all P/S hoses, etc… and I’m sure I’m forgetting many items as well. The dual exhaust system is the original factory Ford style with two resonators and transverse muffler; the clamps, hangers and chrome tips are all correct as well. Radiator, fan shroud, all hoses, heater hoses, heater core, water pump… all new. Paint & Body: Absolutely ZERO rust on this car along with about 7 miles (yes, seven) since the restoration was completed. Paint is top of the line PPG base coat/clear coat in the original Dark Moss Green color. Paint and body is simply stunning and without any chips, dings or scratches. Underneath is factory correct Red Oxide Primer color in epoxy primer paint. The blacked out engine compartment is the correct shade of black (with correct application) as used by Ford at the factory. New convertible top and pads with glass back window, not the cheap plastic so many people use. Items like hood hinges and hood latch mechanism were properly (original Ford) phosphate coated, not painted. Interior: Everything has been replaced in the factory correct Saddle color interior. Front and rear seats, carpet, carpet underlay, firewall pad, door panels, seat belts, dash pad, instrument and dash panels, window and door handles all new. The 8,000 RPM tachometer is original to the car. While it was standard for a 6,000 RPM tachometer to be used on the 225hp motor, some slipped through with the 8,000 unit when inventory was low. Options/History: As per the Marti Report this was a very nicely optioned convertible with Power Top, Automatic Transmission, Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Exterior Décor Group, Heavy Duty Suspension and Tachometer. This Mustang was slightly unique as it was exported to France when built in 1967 (DSO 93 and stated on original fender buck tag). However, again, this was not built from the factory as a GTA; I added all of the correct options to make it a GTA tribute during restoration. Nothing from the GTA option was overlooked, including unique fender emblems, rocker stripes, GT gas cap and fog lamps with the factory correct wiring and harnesses. Glass: Only the windshield was replaced. The door and quarter window glass is the original. There is a scratch on the passenger window that should come out with one of the scratch removal kits from Eastwood. The radio is not hooked up and is installed only for looks as everyone wants to install their own system anyway. Please check out my selling history on EBay in general but in particular regarding two other classic Fords I’ve had restored. Both buyers were great people and responded with very positive feedback, “Vehicle was in excellent condition, better than described”, “…very pleased with purchase”, etc. One buyer flew in from Texas and drove the car home before posting feedback. The other came from Miami and drove his purchase home before posting feedback. This car will have the same feedback by whoever buys it. This mustang can be seen at any time and I encourage any potential buyers or their agents to do so as anyone will quickly understand the extraordinary quality of this car and the complete and total restoration undertaken. If you have questions, please ask them. I can answer any and all questions about this car. As with any vehicle over 44 years old, car is sold as is and without any warranty. Vehicle is for sale locally and advertised by other means as well and I reserve the right to sell this vehicle at anytime. I strongly urge any potential buyer to come inspect this car prior to bidding or to have it inspected by a professional. I will of course sell overseas to buyers and will be able to facilitate a trouble free and positive shipping arrangement. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and any associated costs.
