YOU WILL HAVE ZERO SURPRISES AT ALL WITH THIS CAR. LOOK AT MY FEEDBACK. I AM A PROFESSIONAL AND MY REPUTATION IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO ME. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK. ALL LOCAL BUYER MAY COME INSPECT AND TEST DRIVE WITH VERIFIED FUNDS ONLY ON THIS CAR! THIS IS OUR POLICY ON ALL RACE CARS AND PERFORMANCE VEHICLES. 2005 Scion TC with custom built turbo kit. This is an immaculate one owner car with only 43k miles on it. This car has been built from the ground up to hold the power that is produced from this engine. Absolutely no expense was spared from front to back. Over 40k has been invested in this car. Nothing but the very best high end parts are on this car. You will not find chinese eBay crap here. Name brand brand new parts. The car has approximately 8k miles since built. This car runs and drives amazing. It is without question one of the fastest Scion's around. The car appears to untrained eye to be a bone stock Scion. The outside is completely stock and the only thing that hints to what might be under the hood is the huge Wilwood brakes showing through the stock wheels. Even the interior is very clean and stock appearing. The only modification inside the the Eclipse head unit with DVD and navigation. Everything about the car was meant to be a sleeper. No crazy body kits or tacky graphics here. Just simple and clean. The stock pretty much ends there because there is not a single system under the hood or under the car that has not been fully upgraded to complement the monster under the hood. This car drives extremely nice for such a highly modified car. It has polyurethane engine mounts so there is some transfer of vibration at idle when cold that smooths out nicely as the urethane warms up. Overall drivability is great. Even with the large turbo you can drive around all day without going into boost just like a stock TC. Get on the gas pedal a little more and that is where the fun starts. There is only one word that comes to mind about the way this turbo kicks in: Violent! Once this engine starts making boost it absolutely screams. The sounds of the turbo spooling and the wastegate and blow off valve working is truly a beautiful sound. It has very little torque steer considering and that is helped mostly by the Driveshaft Shop axles and the Poly mounts. With street tires the car spins through 1st and 2nd and finally starts to hook in third. Third gear is when it starts to get really fun in this car. It pulls like no other front wheel drive car I have ever driven. This is not some worn out Scion with a $3000 turbo kit on a stock engine. No expense was spared on this car. Here is as much as I can remember from what has been done to the car. I am sure I am forgetting several things. ENGINE: The base engine has been fully built to handle the boost. The rotating assembly is fully balanced and includes Eagle H-beam connecting rods and Forged CP Pistons that were custom for this specific application. It has ARP head studs and fasteners on the engine. The oil pan is a custom built baffled aluminum pan with extra capacity to feed the turbo. A custom built pickup was made to complement the custom oil pan. The oil pan was necessary to solve the loss of oil pressure under hard acceleration. That is how fast this car really is. Air Induction: The intake manifold is a custom built aluminum sheet metal intake. The intake has been powdercoated black. It uses the stock fuel injectors and adds a secondary fuel rail and injectors. This allows the use of the stock ECU for emissions purposes. Turbo System: The turbo system was custom built for this car. Everything was fully TIG welded and is top notch premium work throughout. It starts with a custom built 2.5" runner tubular manifold that is ceramic coated. The manifold has individual ports on it for tuning purposes on each runner. The manifold feeds a huge Turbonetics GTK 550 Turbo with a .62ar housing. The turbo uses the Turbonetics RG45 wategate. It has a custom built 3" mandrel bent down pipe and full custom 3" exhaust with a SLP resonator and a Magnaflow muffler. It is not very loud just driving around but gets loud at higher RPM's. The turbo exits on the cold side through custom made mandrel bent 3" aluminum intercooler piping that flows through a custom spec'd Griffin Intercooler. It uses the Turbonetics Godzilla Blow off valve. All of this piping looks gorgeous under the hood and is truly a work of art. There are very few off the shelf parts on this kit. It is designed to produce well over 400 whp. The current tune for reliability and drivability is a very conservative 296hp at the front wheels. The initial run at medium boost produced 371hp when the kit was originally installed and was then tuned for drivability and reliability. It could be tuned conservatively to run E85 at close to 400 whp with good reliability but it is hard to come by E85 around me. THE HP NUMBERS ARE FROM "REAL" DYNO RUNS WITH PAPERS AND NOT MADE UP THIS KIT MAKES 8000HP NUMBERS. EVERYONE WITH A TURBO KIT SAYS IT MAKES 500HP YET THEY HAVE NO CLUE BECAUSE THEY NEVER RAN IT ON A DYNO. THERE ARE OTHER SCIONS WITH THE MUCH SMALLER TURBOS THAT CLAIM SIMILAR HP NUMBERS. THEY ARE NOT REAL WORLD RELIABLE HP LEVELS. THIS CAR HAS BEEN TUNED FOR RELIABILITY AND DAILY DRIVER PERFORMANCE. IT IS CAPABLE OF MUCH LARGER NUMBERS BUT IS CURRENTLY TUNED TO BE DRIVABLE. Fuel System: The entire fuel system has been designed to support the additional power with overall reliability in mind. It starts with a Walbro 255 LPH in tank pump. It the runs to the front of the car with Stainless braided lines to the aeromotive bypass regulator and then to both fuel rails and back to the tank all in stainless AN lines. The fuel system could easily suppport considerably more power. Drivetrain and Suspension: The car has Driveshaft shop 1000hp axles up front to hold up to the power. A Clutch Specialties clutch rated at 500hp has been installed. It is nice and firm but not too heavy. The front brakes have been upgraded the the huge Wilwood big brake kit. This car stops!!! The struts are Tein Coilovers on all 4. The sway bars are Hotchkis 3 way adjustable and really help with traction. Electronics: The car has the Split Second A/F controller and voltage unit that piggybacks the factory ECU. It uses an Apexi Neo Boost controller and a Greddy Boost controller. The battery has been relocated to the trunk and the headlights have been upgraded to HID's. Known Issues: No heavily modified street car comes without a few so here they are. It could use an oil catch can which causes it to sometimes have a little blue smoke. Not much just a little puff. It never bothered me enough to install one. It has a check engine light on for a P0441 Evap purge flow fault. I think it needs a canister but I have not had time to have it looked at. The fuel level sensor has not worked since the walbro pump was installed. I am sure that either the float arm got stuck or one of the wires is not hooked back up. It is a simple fix, I just have not had the time to spare. The tune could use a tweak. It will occasionally stall coming back to idle. That is it. No big stuff just some small details to be worked out. I am going to try to get the Evap code fixed but I give no guarantees that I will have the time before the auction ends. $500 is due within 24 hours via Paypal.
