This is a 1999 Ford Taurus. It has dents and dings (which is why I bought it!) My family and I were seperated due to work for about 2 months and I needed a commuter car to travel back and forth to home and job. My commute was 400 miles one way and I did it 4 seperate times. My family and I are now back together and we don't need this car anymore. It has been great but it can't really even serve as a "safe" alternative as we have 6 in our family and this car only legally seats 5. So, it is up for sale. I would drive this car anywhere. I have driven it almost 5000 miles since I purchased it. Since purchase I have installed a new bearing assembly on the front right along with an axle shaft(I also purchased another bearing assembly for the other side too, it will be included). I had the car serviced at a Firestone Service Center in Utah. I put new tires all the way around (5000 miles on them). New transmission filter, coolant flush, tune up and alignment. I had the A/C recharged at a Ford dealership in Riverton, WY and it blew ice cold the whole time I drove it. THE UGLY! Mostly this list is aesthetics. When I bought the car it was from a young man who drove it and did no maintenance. It had been clipped in the front and the drivers fender/light/bumper was damaged. I replaced the fender (note color difference) light, bumper, bumper skirt and fan assemblies. Passenger door is dented but window still functions as do all windows. The car has an aftermarket CD player and it works well. The car has a hesitation issue and after all the work done at the Firestone place it was still present. I recently took it to a Ford dealership here in Gillette and they stated it was a plugged catalytic converter(there are 2). It only gives you fits if you try to stomp down on the gas and go fast. I don't have a "hurry bone" in my body so it doesn't bother me. The car will still get on the interstate and get right up to 75 MPH. I have spent over $1500 since purchase and I say with confidence that I would take this car anywhere...in fact I am willing to drive it to Denver to deliver as I need to fly out in the near future. Any buyer in Denver, CO will only have to meet me at the airport and drive it home. Anyone else can fly in and do the same. I live in Gillette WY so I-90 goes right through town and I can meet anyone here as well. I know it is not much to look at, but it is very reliable and all you need to keep you going for a long time. :-) Happy Bidding and Merry Christmas (when it comes!)
