Vehicle Detail
For Sale 2000 Boxster S I purchased this car in March of 2010 from the original owner who lived in Arizona. The car based upon the service records I have in my possession, resided in Arizona since it was purchased new. I live in California so rust is not a factor. I purchased the car with 41,454 miles on it (verified by the dealer who serviced the car) and as you can tell from the mileage the car was only driven about 4000 miles a year. I have performed all maintenance on schedule plus repaired a few things that are common issues with all Boxsters. I conducted lots of research and read all of the Porsche blog’s and trust me their analysis of issues is accurate. So with that let me list what has been updated: Mileage Date Action 39,873 07/10/2009 Replaced F/R rotors, pads and sensors with premium grade materials. 40,321 09/11/2009 Replaced all 4 CV Boots and repacked with grease. 41,652 04/02/2010 Replaced spark plugs; oil air separator 41,932 4/21/2010 Replaced cabin air filter; 42,515 05/19/2010 Replaced Clutch assembly; rear main seal; and rear motor mount. 44,873 07/11/2011 Replaced Coolant Reservoir, cap and coolant. 44,873 07/11/2011 Changed Oil and filter with Mobil 1 and transmission gear oil also Mobil 1 Synthenic. I have changed the oil and filter at time of purchase and again when the clutch assembly was replaced. I have receipts for all of the above repairs/maintenance plus a few more that the original owner gave me. He did a good job on repairing the issues as they developed. According to the owner the battery was replaced just before he sold the car to me but I do not have a receipt. With regards to body and interior it is in good condition (please reference pictures) and has a new coat of wax. Tires are only average sorry (if you purchase a Porsche or have owned a Porsche you will understand). Everything works; the following are a list of accessories: 3.2 Liter 6-Cylinder Boxer 258 HP Engine; 6-Speed Manual Transmission; Automatic Rear Spoiler; Driver & Passenger Front & Side Airbags; Factory 17-Inch Alloy Wheels; Wheel Caps with Porsche Crests; 4-Wheel ABS Disc Brakes; Leather Sport Bucket Seats Power Convertible Top; Cruise Control; Performance Suspension; Removable Wind Deflector; Telescoping Leather Wrapped 3-Spoke Steering Wheel Alpine Premium Sound System Stereo Radio with In-Dash CD Player Power Windows; Power Locks; Keyless Entry (One key with built-in remote included) Power Mirrors; Air-Conditioning with Automatic Climate Control; Spare Wheel & Tire Dual Stainless Steel Tail Pipes; Owners Manual The Boxster is a nice looking car but the real beauty is how it handles. I have owned several performance cars but not one of them drive as well as a Porsche Boxster S. To really appreciate the car you have to drive it on a twisty road and see if anyone can keep up. It is fun! I can provide whatever details/pictures you require. Thanks for your interest.
