1970 CAPRICE COUPE Up for auction is a 1970 Caprice custom coupe I am listing for a friend. This Caprice is one of the most original rust free examples (came from my place in road salt free Seattle WA and driven to MN in 2005 no road salt ever touched her). The Caprice is located in the cenral midwest, Mendota Heights MN area not far from Illinois,Wisconsin states. Options: Power Seats Remote mirror Tilt wheel Low windshield reservoir warning Fiber optics option (low fuel,washer fluid,check door system) Visual light monitoring system Headlight delay system The Caprice is powered by the 300 HP L48 350,turbo 350 automatic and 12 bolt non posi traction rear end. Had factory ralleys with almost new tires and disc brakes. Bodywise, see photos, 99% rust free, super solid quarter panels (FACTORY BULGE QUARTER PANELS),wheel wells front fenders,frame trunk,floors etc. Some scraped an dings which was in the process of repairing though my friend found a '69 Bel Air here in Seattle to purchase (only reason he wants to sell the Caprice) . The reason for the rust free dry metal is the Caprice came from Eastern Washington State which is desert country. I bought and drove her all summer back in 2004-05. When I was moving and gave her to my friend who flew up from Minnesota and drove her back home. The Caprice drives and handles super,engine makes a lifter noise (possible valve adjustment) and does smoke at startup and choke work (grumpy on cold start mornings). I had the windshield replaced also before my friend took her back to Minnesota and the windshield replacement guys did a lousy job of sealing it. Under heavy rain, the right lower windshield leaks. Front driver's seat has wear and carpeting is worn , vinyl roof needs replacement as well. Do NOT bid if you have 0 or negative feedback unless contacting me first or I will cancel your bid. So we are clear, I live in Seattle WA and am collecting the funds and my friend and the Caprice are in Mendota Heights MN with a clear MN title in his name.
