I recommend that every potential bidder come see and drive a vehicle in person before bidding. Vehicles are shown by appointment only at my York, PA storage facility. My descriptions are more lengthy than most, but it is for your benefit. Please take advantage of the information available. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1998 Toyota Avalon XLS sedan. The Toyota Avalon is a great vehicle. Powered by Toyota's legendary 3.0L V6 engine, the Avalon wrapps you in the luxury you'd expect from a full sized vehicle. I would rate the exterior of this Avalon as AVERAGE for the year and miles. The buyer of this car should expect to find some dents and scratches from normal use of a vehicle this age. On the nose of the hood, there are some older stone chips that are showing some surface rust from exposed metal. All the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. The tires have good tread all around. I would also rate the interior of this Avalon as AVERAGE. The door panels are all clean and in tact. The leather interior shows well and is very comfortable. The carpets are clean throughout. The headliner is clean and in tact. This Avalon is equipped with most of the popular options including power windows, locks, mirrors, sunroof and seats...all are in working condition. Additionally, this Avalon is equipped with factory premium CD sound system which sounds great. The automatic climate control is working perfectly. The air conditioning blows ice cold, too. The trunk is clean and spacious. The part of the drivers door hinge that keeps the door open will need to be repaired to work properly. The door does open and close with no problems...it will just come back closed (not a big issue). Mechanically, this Avalon appears to be in good condition. The 3.0L V6 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. The front valve cover leaks a little which is normal for this engine and is not a big deal. During my time driving this vehcile, it has driven very well. I've seen no warning lights and the engine keeps proper temperature at all times. The brakes stop the car well. Out on the highway, this Avalon cruises fast and smooth with no pulling or vibrations. The steering is tight and responsive, too. This car will probably need shocks all around.
