Vehicle Detail

This Model T Ford is being relisted because the first sale did not work out. I appreciate you looking at this ad again. This auction is for a Model T Ford 1923 Coupe. The engine number is a 1925 year so the engine has been changed at some point in the life of this Model T. The car is in unrestored condition. It is a running and driving car. It will need a new 6 volt battery because there is not enough power in it to use the starter. Currently it starts by hand crank on battery and then we switch over to magneto. The car runs very well on magneto. The body is a combination of very old paint and surface rust. There are no rust through spots that I can find. The metal all seems solid. The wood is in good shape. The doors open and close well. The top is in good condition. An effort was made to make any repairs have the same patina as the rest of the car and to preserve it's character. I have a clear California pink slip (Certificate of Title) in my name. But the car is not currently licensed and there are no license plates for it. This process will have to be finished with the DMV by the new owner. I will supply a DMV bill of sale to the new owner. The actual mileage on the car is unknown because there is no odometer. Ebay requires the mileage section to be filled in so I put 100,000 miles. There are no interior panels and there is not a headliner in the car. There are no window registers in the car and I do not have them. The windows go up-and-down by a strap kit that was installed. The seat springs are covered with vinyl seat covers for a 1960's VW. I do not know if the seat springs are Model T seat springs or some other springs that happened to fit. In the last four years more than $5,000 was spent on new parts for the car. The following list of new parts were put on the car: a new Brassworks radiator; new fan pulley and bearing; a new alternator conversion; rebuilt starter and new cables and switch; new horn; a new wiring kit; new exhaust manifold, exhaust pipe, and muffler; new intake manifold; rebuilt carburetor; rebuilt coils; new safety glass was put in all the windows; a rebuilt/new dash and amp meter; four reproduction 1926-27 wire wheels that are powder coated straw color; adaptor hubs for the wire wheels; new inner tubes and liners; four new Firestone tires; new Rocky Mountain brake kit, equalizer, and pedal; new rear body panel (very back of the car) that was painted and sanded to match the car; new hood that was powder coated black and sanded to look like the rest of the car. Please note that the new Brassworks radiator was "dirtied-up" with rusty water to make it look like it had been on the car a long time. There are Hassler springs on the front end. The headlights work and have good reflectors. The tail light does not work because the wiring was never hooked up to it. The spare tire and rim is a 30 X 3-1/2 size and does not fit on the wheels on the car. The left front fender has a 3-inch split in it where it bolts to the frame. The right front fender has a 1-1/2 inch split in it near the front of it. Both rear fenders have a split in them that's about 1 inch long and they have small dents. I think all the fenders are repairable because the metal is solid. Included in the sale of this car are two new rear fenders. The fenders have been powder coated black. The intention for the new rear fenders was to sand them to look like the rest of the car. This Model T Ford and parts are sold as is. No warranty is expressed or implied. I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime. At the end of auction, a $500, non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours and is to be paid by PayPal. Full payment due within 7 days. This car will not be released until all funds clear my bank. The car will need to be picked up within approximately 2 weeks of end of auction. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. I will do all I can to assist. Please have your finances ready to pay if you are the winning bidder. This car is located near San Francisco and San Jose California and I will show it by appointment. Selling to United States only.
