Vehicle Detail
This truck has had 3 owners, The first bought it new and had it for 6 months, 15,000 miles. The second traded for a car on 9/9/1984 and had it till I bought when I was in high school. The truck originates out of the St. Louis area, I have the original owners manual for it, the factory spec sheet which has all details on truck and dealership it was built for. It has the original 305 v8 engine, although it is locked up and needs to be rebuilt or replaced. It had a 700R4 transmission which I had rebuilt and the rebuild job didnt last. I replaced it with a 350 turbo. the rear end gears have been changed to 3 7 3. I took the newer steering collumn out of a 90's model Chevy Silverado and the split seats out and put them in this 84, made it really nice. The dash is in almost perfect condition, no cracks except passenger side speaker, 3 yr old broke it just a little, still in tact though. I added a roll pan to the rear end of the truck and then fabricated a Hide-A-Hitch that bolts to the frame. remove the licence plate and you can put your hitch right in. I tried to find an older styled spring loaded plate hinge mount. It has 15" Chrome American Racing Rims, 10 " wide, I bought when I bought truck, I just put a new set of 60's all the way around it, they dont have 200 miles on them. The ashtray has never been used, and I did not allow any smoking in the truck, But , I lent it out and they smoked and did what I was wanting to prevent, they burnt a lil spot on the new split seat, but not too awful bad.I installed a new rear sliding glass when I bought it. Im gonna leave a radar detector in it, a Kenwood remote controlled detachable face CD player and a Tune player with Horn( it came with it when I bought it). This truck has been my pride and joy ever since I got it and I hate puttin er up for sale, but I got 2 young ones and I got a hole I need to dig out of. Nice truck, some rust from road salts in St. Louis area, but repairable.
