California car purchased for my mother over 20 years ago. I believe they are the third owners. T-bird is completley rust free; no rust on or under it. Dad was an old ford mechanic and took excellent care maintaining the car. The car has always been kept in a garage and Dad spared no expense keeping it up. Following are some of the maintanence items I am aware of : New vinyl top - factory color; large capacity radiator; new master cylinder; new egr valve, new fuel pump - new plugs; $900.00 ammco tranmission; excellent tires and brakes; passes CA smog with no problems. Car drives and cruises along like it was new. 400 cubic inch 2V motor; power door locks, power windows, power split bench front seat. Ice cold A/C, has original factory AM/FM cassete player. Was custom ordered with factory magnesim wheels, tan exterior with gold interior. Everything works on the car except the dash clock. T-bird comes with the four volume set of factory service manuals. Original paint - pinstripping getting pretty thin but I polished it out and she shinned right up. When I have it backed out in the driveway, people stop and ask about it. Overall apearance is great. The defects : Interior: bottom of front seat is thread bare and splitting - see pic, small hairline crack in dash. Exterior: Pinstripping is thin, small dent behind right headlight bezel - dent was there when Dad bought the car- paint wasn't broken so he left it alone - see pic. Rear bumper has a ding where mom backed into a parking pole - see pic. Small paint chip on trunk deck lid - see pic. Small paint chip at left rear marker light - see pic. Right rear wheel well trim piece has dings from parking lots - see pic. Normal nicks you would expect to see in a used car with original paint. Mom doesn't drive for a couple years now, the most use the old girl gets is when it's smogged every couple years. Mom wants new carpet in her house and she is willing to part with her beloved thunderbird to get something she can still use and enjoy.
