You are bidding on a Nassau Blue, Numbers Matching 1966 427ci Corvette Stingray Convertible. Steve purchased the car from the original owner in December of 1970 and has lovingly owned it for the past 42 years. The car has not been wrecked and always garaged. VIN 194676S118462 (ST Louis) Style 66 467, Trim 414, Body Paint A-5809 976 This is an original 427ci-390HP car. Block casting 3869942 with the original Munci 4 speed trans, Chrome Reverse Lock-Out Shifter and 336 Rear End. Steve has retained the original bill of sale showing the build sheet.(see photos) (Original Parts as follows)- Alternator-Regulator, Radiator (rebuilt), Exhaust Manifolds, Spark Plug Shields, Chrome Ignition Shielding, Factory Telesopic Steering Wheel, AM-FM radio with power antenna, original factory clock(working) *Factory Hardtop (Blue, not pictured but included) and Power Steering while not original to this car have been added. (Recent upgrades or replacements are as follows)- 4 New Stainless Brake Calipers, 4 barrel Holley Carb, Reproduction Knockoff Wheels with Goldline Coker Tires, Braided Stainless Spark plug wires, Carpet, door panels and leather seat covers, Recent white convertible top. Approx. 3 years ago the car underwent a Frame ON Restoration. This included an Engine Rebuild, and Repaint. Most of the components listed above where rebuilt or replaced . Many of the original parts such as starter, door skins etc..were retained. There are a few small bubbles in the repaint located on the cowl near the drivers side windshield. Overall the car is extremely presentable. ** Mileage** The car currently shows 61,575. However, It is known to the current owner that the speedometer was not functioning for a period of time. Therefore miles of 99,000 have been approximated for the purpose of this auction. After 42 years of ownership Steve is letting go of his beloved car. He says it is time for someone else to enjoy it.
