Vehicle Detail
1957 Chevrolet 150 Utility Sedan (aka Business Coupe/1211B) – NO RESERVE! The very low price listed is to give you chance to buy the rarest type of sedan from Chevrolet in 1957. Out of 8,300 made, we have only found 25 in the USA still on the road either for sale on different high end sites, auctions on TV and Articles in car magazines. This car came factory with no back seat, radio or clock and stationary rear quarter windows. Most commonly used as Business / police / fire patrol cars and real "Black Widow" race cars, making these cars considered non-essential and crushed back in the day without a second thought. Mild customizations include: Bucket seats, automatic on the floor with Lokar shifter, gauge cluster under dash, tachometer, carpet instead of the rubber floor mats, sound proofed floors, IDIDIT tilt steering column with Grant carbon fiber steering wheel, dual master cylinder, 10 bolt Chevy rear-end, 350 SBC with Weiand Xcelarator intake, Edelbrock 600 carb, Flowtech headers and dual straight exhaust with Raptor Mufflers and Chevy bow tie tips. The underside has been undercoated. For safety purposes, we have installed seatbelts. In our opinion the body and frame are clean, but could use a new paint job and it still needs things replaced or updated here an there. The original color was Larkspur blue and it currently is Royal Blue. Interior colors are gray, silver and black. This car is solid, clean from top to bottom, drivable, has a clear title and very rare. It is a perfect canadate for a real "Black Widow". There are many tribute/clones that use a regular 150 not a real utility sedan business coupe as there base. We take great pride that it has not been chopped up or abused. It does have a lot of potential. It has been carefully stored under lock and key. We have seen this similar car fetch 3-4 times the asking amount if completely restored and restomoded. It is very rare and gets the attention over many run of the mill Belair and 210 Chevrolets. If it was perfectly restored we would be starting our sale at 80K. We did recently have it professionally appraised at 25,000. Grundy Insurance currently rates its fully insured value at $26,000. We are giving you a chance to own something "very special" at a "very low price" and it still gives you plenty of room for additional investment on your own. Due to the rarity, we request only very serious bidders inquire. To view additional photos and videos of this vehicle, please visit http://57chevyforsale.webs.com/. No international buyers will be accepted. For bidders that request an in person viewing, we must ask that you make a good-faith bid before being allowed to see the car in person. Please be very careful bidding and doing your inquiries prior to bidding. And if you are not fully satisfied with what you are bidding on, we may be able to cancel your bid. Although we do not have a long history of sales and/or purchases with our eBay account, our feedback is 100% even with recently selling our collector truck. NO TRADES OR OTHER COMMERCIAL INTERESTS WILL BE ENTERTAINED. Being sold AS IS, NO WARRANTY! We are relisting this since we had a lot of interest with people emailing us. Please realize that we will NOT consider low ball offers. We are firm with our lowest price of $10,000 and will not be going lower. We feel that this is a great deal for any buyer with over 50% off the appriased/insured value. We have brought the "Buy It Now" price down to $12,000. For the winning bidder there will be a non-refundable $500 deposit due at the end of auction. Vehichle must be picked up personally or have a shipping company pick up the vehicle within one week at the end of auction. This auction may end at anytime due to listing locally or dealing with fradulent bidders.
