Each vehicle is thoroughly road tested before being listed on ebay so that I can describe how this vehicle looks, runs and drives as accurately as possible. I encourage every bidder to come see and drive a vehicle in person before bidding. Vehicles are shown by appointment only at my secure warehouse in York, PA. Please take the time to read this entire description, including reviewing all photos as well as my terms & conditions, before bidding. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1998 Volvo V70 wagon. As you can see, this is a great looking wagon. The silver finish looks good from any angle and shows no major dents or blemishes. Please expect to find normal wear and tear commensurate with the age and miles of this vehicle. Especially note some scratches and scuffs on the rear bumper from normal use. This Volvo is equipped with sport alloy wheels which look great and are wrapped in matching Continental tires with good tread. Also, this Turbo wagon is equipped with the sport spoiler at the rear roof line. There is a crack at the very top of the windshield. This crack will pass PA inspection due to its location but please consult you local laws to see what is allowed in your state. All other glass and lenses appear to be in tact. This is a great looking wagon. I would rate the interior of this Volvo as AVERAGE. The seats are in great shape throughout and don't show much cracking as is common with Volvo leather. The headliner is clean and tight. There is some normal pulling of the leather on the door panels which is also a common Volvo thing. The drivers window won't stay on its guide. It stays up and I've unhooked the master switch so someone doesn't lower it by accident. All other windows work properly. The power seats, sunroof, locks and mirrors all work properly. The stereo is the original Volvo premium sound with CD which sounds excellent still. The climate control is fully automatic and working as it should. The air conditioning blows ice cold, too. This car comes with its original owners manuals. The carpets show some wear and stains from use. The cargo area is spacious and clean. This wagon is also equipped with the covetted third row seat which is rare in later Volvos. Mechanically, this Volvo appears to be strong. Read this paragraph carefully, please. The 2.4L Turbocharged engine starts right up and runs smoothly. This Volvo leaks oil like most do...I believe from the front lower seal which is not very expensive to replace. The engine runs strong and keeps a perfect operating temperature at all times. The Tracs/ABS lights stay on which is another common Volvo issue and inexpensive to remedy as well. As you can see in the photos, this WAS an all wheel drive model. As with most early AWD Volvo's, this one is now front wheel drive. The early Volvo rear axles were junk. Rather than put the money into an expensive rear end rebuild, most people remove the rear drive shaft...making it front wheel drive. The Volvo system is the only one I know of that can run properly missing a drive shaft. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts normally. It drives just like a normal FWD Volvo. The suspension feels good but there is some vibration on the highway at higher speeds and under braking from high speeds. The steering feels good. I originally bought this Volvo for my wife but she said she would rather have a van...so I bought her a van. I've driven this Volvo in excess of 100 miles.
