FOR AUCTION: 1982, SUZUKI GS 550 L, LAST OWNER WAS A HARLEY MECHANIC THAT TOOK PRIDE IN HIS WORK. WE HAD SOMEONE TEST DRIVE THE MOTORCYCLE PAST FEB. NO LEAKS FROM ANY FLUIDS. TIRES SEEM GOOD WITHOUT CRACKS AS FAR AS WE CAN SEE. BATTERY WAS BOUGHT NEW IN 2010, BUT WE KEEP HAVING TO CHARGE DUE TOO LONG PERIODS OF SITTING. KEPT IN GARAGE SINCE LATE 2008. ONE SIDE FARRING HAS A SLIGHT CRACK. HORN SOUNDS VERY SICKLY. ALL LIGHTS AND BLINKERS ARE WORKING (THEY SEEM TO BLINK SLOWER THAN THE NEWER MODELS OF TODAY, DON'T KNOW IF THAT IS NORMAL), COMES WITH SEPARATE KEY FOR THE SEAT, MANUAL IS NEW, BUT WE HAD TO OPEN IT TO FIND SPECS. LAST TIME WE TRIED STARTING IT, IT WOULD NOT TURN OVER. WE ARE NOT MECHANICS, THEREFORE, WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. The rear disc brake was changed to drum brake and , and the dual front discs were replaced with a single disc. Pin striping on the tank and sidecovers was very unique to this year. No longer a continuous loop.
