Vehicle Detail

Please read entire listing! I am going to describe everything about this car good and the bad to the best of my ability. Look at my feedback. I stand behind everything I sell 100%. I will describe everything about this car including all of the bad stuff other sellers do not want you to find out about. Everyone else tries to hide the bad stuff and hopes you will not find out. I disclose everything known to me. Please look at all photographs as I have tried to capture all flaws. 2000 BMW 740il. This car is fully loaded with all of the good stuff. It has the 18" M-Paralell wheels with Continental tires that have good tread. It has the Sport package side skirts as well. The only thing that this car lacks from the sport package car is the steering wheel and shadowline trim. This car has very low miles on it at only 116k. You do not have to look very hard to find these cars with almost 300k miles on them so this car is barely broken in. The Exterior: This car is very clean. It has all original paint on all panels and has never been in an accident. The original paint looks fantastic all the way around with no oxidation and only a few tiny surface scratches that can be touched up or buffed. No major dents or dings to note on this car. There are 2 small tasteful modification done to the outside of the car. The first is the M3 style vents on the front fenders. These are a nice subtle touch that is not easily noticed. The second is the custom exhaust tips that exit the rear bumper. These are a clean addition to the rear of the car. It still retains the factory exhaust with just the tips added to the back so it is still whisper quiet. The car has the HID Bi-Xenon headlights and both work 100%. All lights are in good condition with no clouding or fading on the lenses. The Interior: This is the area that could use a little love. I am going to describe the condition of the interior to the best of my ability here. Overall the interior is clean and smells good. It does however have the common things that break and wear out on these cars. I am in the process of repairing some of the small stuff so some of the things may be repaired. There are also numerous articles on E38.org on creative repairs for most of these issues. The first thing that you notice when you open the drivers side door is the left side of the dash leather is pealing slightly. This can be seen in the pictures. Not that big of a deal and most people would overlook this but I am very picky. The next thing is the cup holder is broken like all of these cars. They do come around in good shape occasionally on eBay I just have not found a good one yet for this car. Next up is the glove box latch. It is broken but you can pull on the cable to open it. The next thing is the headliner is missing from the sunroof shade. I have another one for the car that I will include. The headliner is starting to sag in the back of the car and I was intending to replace the sunroof shade when the headliner was out to be repaired. The next thing is the leather seats. They are overall in pretty good condition but are not perfect. They have no rips or tears in the leather just some spots where the tan dye is fading. I got a quote from a leather repair guy to re-dye the leather for $175. The door panels are in excellent condition. The dash is excellent and everything works like it should. All windows work. There are not warning lights on the dash and 99% of the pixels work on the cluster.(I think it is missing 2 pixels) The radio is the DSP HIFI NAV system and sounds great. No blown speakers and the sub works all the time. The Navigation system does not have a disc but did work 100% when I installed a disc from another car I had in stock. Underhood: Overall the engine compartment is clean. There is some seeping from the valve cover gaskets that is expected on the 4.4L M62 engine. The engine starts right up with zero noise on cold start up. The oil is very clean. The engine runs whisper quiet and extremely smooth. All OBD2 Readiness monitors have completed and there are no trouble codes in the system. The Cooling system was pressure tested and had no leaks. All of the fans operate perfectly as they should. The air conditioning system blows ice cold air like it should. The heat is hot all the time and the heater valve checks out good. The car has factory catalytic converters on it so no issues with aftermarket cats here. The power steering is good with no leaks. The transmission shifts perfectly like you would expect. No Transmission leaks. Undercar: The car is in very good condition underneath. There is some slight play in the front radius arms that you would expect at 116k miles. I have a set I will include with the car if you like. The Brakes are better than 50% all the way around. The shocks and struts are in very good condition. The steering is tight. The rear differential is very quiet and has no leaks. The rear drive axle boots are in good shape. The exhaust system is stainless steel so it is perfect. There is zero rust or corrosion anywhere under the car. Overall: Overall this car is a very nice low mile car. This is not a perfect car. If you are looking for a flawless E38 please look elsewhere. This car is in better condition that most that you will see on the road and better than the ones listed as mint condition. If you are looking for a nice E38 that you can afford to buy to fix up into a really nice car this car is for you. If you just want a clean car to drive daily this car is for you. If you want a flawless car that looks like it did when it was new, this one is not for you. I am a licensed dealer in the State of Georgia.
