I am the second owner of this 1972 Mercury Cougar. The car has it's original 351 Cleveland w/ 2-barrel carb, 3-speed automatic, power steering and air conditioning. The car has a rebuilt carb and the engine has good compression, but it could use a tune-up. This is a very rust-free car, having spent most of it's life in California and now in Oklahoma this car has never been exposed to road salt. The fenders, rockers, trunk and floorpans are all solid. The car has new tires. The glass is good, the interior is a little rough, mostly the seats and carpet, but the door panels are nice. The lights, horn, wipers and all the gauges work. This car wouldn't need very much to be a daily driver. I had wanted to restore this car but I have too many projects so I'm hoping to find a good home for the Cougar (I'm also selling my 1964 Studebaker Lark Cruiser).
